I like Hooters for their wings! Seriously! :sadder: Tasty tasty wings, tacky decor, orange christmas lights...but the poor waitresses probably freeze during the winter. Next time I go I should bring sweatpants and sweatshirts for all the poor waitresses who aren't dressed for North Dakota's harsh winters. :sadder:
Claims that Hooters exploits attractive women are as ridiculous as saying the NFL exploits men who are big and fast. Hooters Girls have the same right to use their natural female sex appeal to earn a living as do super models Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. To Hooters, the women's rights movement is important because it guarantees women have the right to choose their own careers, be it a Supreme Court Justice or Hooters Girl.
It is no different. They are the equivalent of a prostitute...selling their body. No they don't have sex for money but it falls under the same premise.

This is a rediculous claim. The NFL does not exploit big and fast guys. They choose the best people to play the game, they just happen to be in peak physical condition......and they play fully clothed.

If you honestly believe that hooters women are not being exploited for their apperance...When is the last time you went into Hooters and saw some who was overweight or didnt have the most attractive face? you don't. They are all PHYSICALLY beautiful women who weigh no moer than 120 pounds...

Ahem...there are a good very many cheerleaders who are not at all selling their bodies, but are trying to encourage athleticism and good sportsmanship. Watch your step, I'm in love with a former cheerleader, and she's also the most chaste person I know...

okay... i only posted those quotes because i wanted to show that the hooters girls are no different than the cheerleaders, models, etc. that we see everyday.

I don't believe that. Hooters girls first off have the specific purpose of being sexual. Also, there are many very modest cheerleading costumes, even if they are rare by percentage.

when i mention cheerleaders i'm talking about professional cheerleaders. most of the uniforms i've seen are basically the equivalent to a hooters uniform

Sorry to our phatmass chearleaders but i also was refering to "professional" cheerleaders.....

there is a big difference between higgh school and college cheerleaders and "professional" cheerleaders. For one high school and college cheerleaders compete in cheerleading......"preofessional" cheerleaders do not do this they are simply there for men to oogle over.

hmmmm...
I remember when I ran track.....ooooo boy those outfits were skimpy. Much worse than the cheerleaders.

Posted

still a different situation.......the short shorts and tank top are needed to enhance your performance as a runner or whatever event....

I've decided not to post it. I'm trying to learn how to respect women and be selfless and stuff.

Blue Collar Comedy Tour rocked my chicken pox!

"It's a good thing these don't come in biscuits and gravy!"

I lost a bet last year and had to take my co-worker to Hooters.

I'll never gamble again. I've learned my lesson.

Right. I'm so sure all those girls are sitting around saying . . . 'Hmmm, do I want to be a hooters girl or a Supreme Court justice? I choose Hooters, those black robes aren't flattering to your figure."
