Theoketos Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 It has become progressively harder to advance is rank. dUSt knows fewer and fewer people personally, so he must rely on the word of others. The more a person is known and the more they are faithful the faster the track will be.

If my being CF is just because of popularity, then I don't want it.

[/quote] It doesn't seem like a popularity contest, per se, but it seems like one must be on a friendly basis with others who are church faithful in order to be considered. I may be out of touch with reality, but that is the sense that I got. And as lifeteenchick said, my vote prolly doesn't count, but all 3 of the proposed should be church faithful.

[/quote] That's what I meant. I don't really spend a whole lot of chatty time in Open Mic, I tend to spend more time in the debate forum stretching my theological side and learning from others. I don't mind that I'm not in that group, and I wasn't implying that you're bad people or anything or that you don't deserve it; just that if you don't make friends with someone who is Church Faithful, you'll never get nominated. I know Karin in real life and she is certainly Church Faithful material, but the majority of what she posts here would give no clue as to wether she is or not. Keep in mind I haven't read nearly all of her posts, because like I said, I don't spend a whole lot of time in Open Mic, and I just recently found out that the "Karin" from PM was the "Karin" that I know, so I didn't pay particular attention to her posts. I was just agreeing with her. Anyway, please don't take offense. And Micah, from what I've read that you posted, you are certainly not Church Faithful because of your popularity. You truly are a good Witness to the faith, and I admire you greatly. That comment was in no way meant to be slanderous to any of the Church Faithful folk, just give my opinion that one not only has to be Church Faithful, but befriend the Church Faithful folk to get the title. Peace, Tim Oh, and my vote should count, because I know Karin probably better than most people on here, and she should have the title. Karinsbestfriend should, also, as should Stagefairy. They're all extrodinary Catholics!
