EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 One problem, I believe this might be a dissident group. Does anybody know? I'd really like to download and watch this: http://www.latinmass-ctm.org/mass/online.htm The home page: http://www.latinmass-ctm.org/
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 22, 2004 Author Posted December 22, 2004 Perhaps there is an alternative to this website?
journeyman Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 A non-Latin Mass available on line: http://www.themass.org/ From their website: The Passion of Jesus Christ is the greatest love story of all time. We Catholics believe that to celebrate the Lord's Supper is a sacred event that dynamically unites us to the eternal sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Since 1991, St. Ann's Media has presented the televised Mass to the homebound and to others who derive inspiration from our telecasts. The beautiful National Shrine of the Basilica of St. Ann in Scranton, PA offers a prayerful setting for viewers to feel connected to the wider Church.
Phatmasser777 Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Ive got a 183MB WMV of the Latin Mass on my comp. I like the ritual! Which they never gave that up
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 Would there be a problem if I watched the one I linked to above? Curiosity is killing me.

EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 I'm going for that 9.5 MB version. I probably won't be able to make anything out but whaddya gonna do with this 56k connection?
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 Nevermind. I tried to download and it apparantly is a broken link. What a bunch of hype. Anyone know where I can download the Tridentine Mass?
Benedict Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 The WMV files on that site work, even though they are very large. Have you tried getting a Download Accelerator? Even if they do not speed up your download, you can pause the download and resume it, so you do not have to get it all in one go.
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 There is one about an hour long on eDonkey but I can never get it to work. It's only 24 MB.
EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 I've thought about the accelerator, might give it a try.
Totus Tuus Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 (edited) I didn't read all of the posts, but I would assume that the website was in affiliation with the Society of St. Pius X, which is indeed in schism. It is a valid Mass to attend IF your circumstance is that NO Roman Catholic Mass is available, however it is a sin (I am almost positive) for a Roman Catholic to attend a SSPX Mass when a Catholic Church Mass is available. Many cities have indults to perform at least 1 Tridentine Mass per week in the diocesan limits, which I hope would satiate the desire of people (like myself) who appreciate the Traditional Mass- though it is a shame that the Tridentine is not widely offered, as of now, on a daily basis. A Latin Novus Ordo can be seen and heard on EWTN whenever Mass at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament is recorded, and the EWTN Mass uses a lot of Latin as well (though I don't know for sure if it's classified as a Latin Novus Ordo). So, I'm sorry if this is slightly off topic, but not a whole lot of Roman Catholics know SSPX. Go Fraternity of St. Peter! Rock on!!! ... And... the EWTN Mass can be heard DAILY (numerous times each day) on Sirius radio. I listen to it and it's fantastic. Edited January 3, 2005 by Totus Tuus
MilesChristi Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Click HERE If you follow this link, you'll find videos of a Pontifical High Mass, a Solemn High Mass, a Pontifical Low Mass, a Confirmation, and chanted Sunday Compline, all according to the books of 1962 and in union with the Holy See. Enjoy!!

Gomar Depauw's "Catholic Traditionalist Movement" founded in 1964 with permission of Cardinal Spellman. The organization is in no way affilited with the SSPX. I don't know if he has faculties anymore, but he is most definately not SSPX. Edited January 5, 2005 by popestpiusx
