shelly_freak Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Watching the pain and suffering in a news special today was almost too much to bear. Seeing the mothers, the sisters, the grandsons, the fathers all in pain was so hard. Hearing the death toll (20,000) was unberable, I had to leave the room. It's all too much to bear! More tragic than the hurricanes this year, more devistating than September 11th. Watching a tape of a mother greaving over her dead child I prayed, a silent prayer for the dead, for the grief striken, for the hopeless. What more can I do? If only I knew, if only I could reach a helping hand out to those in need, what can I do? Nothing, I sit here praying this little prayer that can not even begin to compete with what is happening across the sea. Lord, what can I do? Our Father who art in heaven hollowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our truspasses as we forgive those who truspass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. *Add any thoughts and prayers for the victims here v
CatholicAndFanatical Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I was watching not too long ago and saw two young boys get pulled away from a group of people on a bus. They had to be no older than 10. just tears at me. like you, its unbearable. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end. Hail Mary, full of Grace The Lord is with thee Blessed art thou amongst women And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus Holy Mary, Mother of God Pray for us sinners Now and at the hour of our Death. Amen

[/quote] If only it was, this isn't even the beginning. They think that the death from disease might match that of the tsunami itself. O my Jesus forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen.

shelly_freak Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 WOW! Lord thank you! I've heard of a few miracles too. The Swedish boy who was found almost dead by American tourists and thought to be lost, later being united with his father. There are miracles despite the damage, the Lord is good!

Wonder if its sorta the same when we return to the Father after being gone for awhile, how happy He is too see us again. Lord, have Mercy. Christ, have Mercy. Lord, have Mercy.

Waiting4God Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I definitly wish there was more to do than pray and donate. feel so helpless, especially watching it on tv. Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. For the souls of those that died in the tsunami, and of the whole world. For the Sake of His Sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole World.

Cathurian Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Welcome, waiting! Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother; to you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen. For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world.
geetarplayer Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 It makes the Hurricanes seem like nothing... Lord, You are powerful indeed. May we not turn away from You in times of great despair. Show us Your mercy. Amen.

Pope St Clement 1 Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 For the souls of those who have died. For all the living victims - for all their needs For all the aid workers - for all their needs in their work For more than adequate organisation For more than adequate resources For a miraculous level of giving from all people throughout the World. That all that's needs to be done will be done and done quickly. Lord , hear us
