I went there because someone on the Catholic.com forum posted a link. I cant believe that they are bashing Catholics for honoring the Mother of Our Lord !!! on a "Catholic" artist's webpage. If I were Rachel I would personally put the smack down on my fans for bashing Our Lady !!!! but she probably wont because they are too busy putting $$$ in her pocket... If I had a forum I would make a STRICT rule that nobody bashes MOM or the people who love her !!!! Her forum absolutely disgusts me. :saber: Dont MESS WITH MY MOM !!!

Think about it this way...think if the vatican had a message board and people just tore up catholics in it and the vatican didn't care...wouldn't seem like a good idea to have the board if it tears down what you stand for.

Its hard when you R put in situation...... reaching more people and only talk about god... or reach less people and talk about mary? Its hard for some to make that choice. Heres an example... Im a youth minister and I rap. With all the christian youth ministers of the area we get together and discuss how are ministries R going and so on,... Some of the youth ministers where bringing in a christian rapper, they asked me if I would rap aswell for the event. Well I thought... should or should I not? I thought No... Cause Its not catholic, and I would have to leave out some of my lyrics... But I prayed about it... and I really felt called to do this. So I did. I saw a lot of our youth and I met Some youth that where catholic but, going to other youth groups. + Now they R coming 2 our youth nights. Sometimes God allows things to happen I just think we should not be so quick 2 judge, God's the Boss Not us! And he doesn't think people R evil. Shalom Amigos

I understand what you are trying to say. I know I shouldnt be so angry about this but I just recently finished my consecration to Our Lady (the 33 day long novena by St. Louis de Montfort) so I just got really mad after reading the posts that were bashing Our Lady, plus I really really got angry at the thought of a Catholic taking money from the people who hate almost everything she is supposed to stand for. I felt disgusted visiting her webpage knowing it belonged to a Catholic artist. Its cool that you decided to perform with other "christian" artists...but the question remains: If people at this event were bashing Mary dont you think you would have defended her? Its every Catholic's responsibility to defend our faith, but dont you think the responsibility is even GREATER for people like Rachel? She has such a great chance to make a HUGE impact in the Christian music industry by being proud of her Catholic faith....but if she did that she probably wouldnt make that much $ off of her albums.... I am reminded of John 6. Its the only time Jesus ever lost a bunch of followers (and this was after performing his most public miracle!). Even the apostles themselves probably wanted to leave....but they had no where else to go. Some times preaching or simply DEFENDING the TRUTH can cause a lot of people to hate you....but in the end isnt it worth it? Jesus wasnt weighing things into perspective before he told the crowds that they must eat of his flesh and drink of his blood. I think Rachel would lose a lot if she began to be a blatantly PROUD Catholic. But think about all the people she would inspire !!! A Catholic artist who's fans (primarily protestant) turned against her because she was too in love with her faith....what an awesome possibility. What a martyr!!! Catholic artists shouldnt try to be making $ ....they should be trying to make people proud of their faith. This webpage is inspiring to me not because of its ecumenical appeal, its inspiring to me because of how proudly it represents the Church. It doesnt try to rationalize selling out, or blending in. If only all Catholics had the integrity of phatmass.

Im sure when she does check it she will become very insulted and sternly warn all of her fans not to post evil things about Mary on her webpage.

[/quote] Many artists don't even know how to opporate a computer. Don't call her evil lol, it makes no sense. You're fighting a bad situation by making it worse but i totally understand how you feel and respect that you feel this defensive about Mom. Rachael's not afraid to say she goes to a Catholic Church so I'm sure she's defend our Lady or get the posts deleted.

I'd go on there and correct any misconceptions with them so that they know she's damned no matter what but I gotta do my daily worship of the picture of Mary in my room.

(In the Correct time and Place and when we are filled with Peace ) I don't know Rachel so I don't know her struggles or what she truly beleives. Mainly because I stop and think.... What would I do in that situation??? Call me a Sinner but Im not sure what I would do.... So I can't judge. Now about making a lot of $$... Well I do understand what you are saying, In this situation I don't know what her intentions are? Who knows Maybe she is doing aMazing Stuff with the money she makes!
