Now only mildly annoyed, but a few minutes ago I was severely annoyed. :angry: Some random person visited my website and signed my guestbook. No friendly hello. No suggestions, criticisms, or affirmations. Just the words "Let one without sin cast teh first stone." So naturally I was intrigued. I was confused as to why someone would randomly say that, and go out of their way to do so no less. So I clicked on the link to her website only to find her ranting about how idiotic my opinions were and that I was screwed up in the head. Now I know this shouldn't have bothered me, as this person could barely spell the word "opinion" let alone express herself coherently. But I found myself severely ticked off. Mostly because she didn't have the guts to address me directly, and also because I hold my opinions very dear, and an attack against them is like an attack against my character, my personality, and my intelligence. Ignorant people annoy me...and I just feel like screaming, but everyone's in bed so that would be bad.

I can't count the number of times I've had to admit what I don't know . . . but there's a great one-word rebuttal in the joke thread (Benedict posted it) (http://phorum.phatmass.com/index.php?showtopic=26163&hl=joke) "Mom!" post THAT on her website! Now the word I might have used for this person was arrogant bigot . . . (do I have a tendency to over-react?) . . . I agree that talking trash about you on her website and not dealing with you "face to face" (electronically speaking) is pretty underhanded . . . I'm also inclined to agree that such a confrontation may not result in any change in either of your opinions . . . but it tooks guts to go to her website and post your reaction . . . you did it calmly and without using any perjoratives . . . my hat's off to you :tiphat:

I think that that the phrase " let he who is without sin cast the first stone" along with "judge not lest ye be judged" is over used and a favorite of people trying to justify their sinful lifestyle. You did a good job. And you handled it a with more grace than I would have.
