ThomasPeter Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 someone ased a question like this before, but it reminded me of one i forgot to ask. at my church in indiana we have a woman, also maybe in her 30s-40s, who sometimes has a white alb on and sits in the sanctuary next to the priest and acts as a server. other times she is just in the congragation. our normal severs (the grade schoolers) do not sit there even if she is not there. my question what is it she does? why is she there? is it allowed? it seems some wat improper to me, but i could be out of tuch. thanks tom ps- what is the differance between a server and an acolyte?
BLAZEr Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 She is probably assisting as the Master of Ceremonies. I've seen this at the Church you're talking about. It's weird. She just wants to be a priest. It's her little statement. Ignore her. Tell her she looks funny up there. But don't encourage her.
