Tink Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Hey guys, I just got back from D.C., and I have to say that it was the best road trip ever! The March for Life was amazing, and though the temperatures were at a subzero level, it was all worth it! Does anyone else have some pics? azaelia Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I wish I could've gone It's all his fault -->
Tink Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 Yeah, our school's Right to Life group didn't make it out because they left too late and got stuck in snow. Fortunately, we left a day and a half earlier (friday afternoon) and made it just in time!
allis-challmers Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005
^the youth rally in the MCI Center^
wow I wish that I could have been there. I haven't been to the march for life in 3 to 4 years. I think that they started to have the youth ralley the year after I couldn't make it again. It looks awsome though
BurkeFan Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Because these photos are huge, I'm just linking: http://home.comcast.net/~narsil/IMG_0067.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~narsil/IMG_0071.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~narsil/IMG_0074.JPG
BurkeFan Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005
Those pics are great BurkeFan
Thanks very much. God must have been guiding my camera, since I had raised my arm as high as I could and then snapped the photo.

BurkeFan Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Gyah! I took a very similar photo to that one of the cross! Woah...
immaculata Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 BurkeFan, where were you sitting in the Basilica? Our group was up in the front section of the church, to the right as you're facing the altar. All wearing orange scarves. The African American girl who carried up the gifts was one of my friends, Ashley.
BurkeFan Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I was sitting in the center aisle. Seriously, I was. For the procession out, I was right in front where they turned. I think I was the only one in the church who was able to kiss a bishop's ring during the procession out. I was wearing a bright red sweatshirt from the Crusade for Life that said on the back "You can't be Catholic and Pro-Abortion." For more info, I made a post on the Crusade which *no one* is looking at.
Rebirth flame Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I was there with Tink, and i must say, it was slammin' good fun, and very rewarding spiritually! I could feel the fruit of our (all pro-life advocates) efforts at the mass in the National Shrine, MCI center, and on the March! The determination of all people to end this troubling fiasco in our nation was so evident through their striding onward in such adverse weather conditions. Though in years past pro-choice supporters have protested our March for Life, there were none to be seen this year (least ways, to my eyes there were none). All of you who Marched, attempted to March, and just simply (though most importantly) prayed for the sanctity of life in all stages, an over-turning of Roe v. Wade, and respect for all human kind, know well that your endeavors are noted and found very good. God Bless! ~nate

I *knew* that there were Phatmassers there, and I kept looking around hoping that I'd see a t-shirt or something.. But at least we were able to worship together and recieve the body of Christ as a Phamily! How awesome is that?!

Rebirth flame Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 In all defense of us guys on that trip, tink, i don't ever remember being asked for my picture to be taken... though it's probably for the best, because i have been known to break a camera or two with my ghastly face before...!
