Benedictine College in Atchison, KS. (Yes, I still have problems spelling Atchison)

I'm getting nervous about my interview, especially working out the transportation and parental escort issues..

btw, I'm planning to major in Mass Communications.

How did the scholarship interviews go . . . you can't just leave us hanging :unplugged: well, you can, but please don't!

Actually, I think I did very well on the interview/essay!

The interview was good, I was very relaxed. (The woman commented that she could tell I've been interviewed before since I handled it very professionally!)

The essay, we had three choices of topics: 1) Describe an intellectual experience you've had and how it impacted your life, 2) If you were stranded on a desert island, what two historical figures would you take with you, or 3) - the one that I picked - Forks or spoons?

For my essay, I wrote about the masculine nature of the fork and the feminine nature of the spoon, how they complimented each other. Neither one is superior to the other, you need both in order to have a complete table setting. Then I discussed men and women's roles in society, and how they're both different, but different doesn't mean 'not equal.'

So, hopefully they were impressed. I'll find out by the end of the month if I get the scholarship or not.. In the meantime, my mom's making me go visit the Univ. of St. Francis (partially against my will) before I make a final decision.. does anyone know anything about USF??

Didn't get the scholarship.....

They *did* give me a $500 "consolation prize" (participation award?)

Then, this weekend I visited the Univ. of Saint Francis in Joliet, IL and really liked it... and it's a whole lot closer to home.. and there's a Caterpillar there that I might be able to get transferred to. So maybe this is a sign?

Hello!! That's awesome, you will be in my prayers!! I wanted to go to that college but I would never be able to afford it. That doesn't matter now though because I have other plans for after I graduate, entering the Dominican Nuns of the Heart of Jesus!! My friend went their though and he says its GREAT!! Love in Christ!
