I don't cry during Confession

I don't cry in the Confessional, am I broken? I'm just asking because from what I read, it seems almost everyone cries but me.

I have never cried in the confessional... sometimes instead i've been nervous and felt something more similar to a panic attack. though I haven't, I feel I am much more likely to cry when I get out of confession when I am not longer nervous.

Before I go to Confession, I really look at my sins. I hold a crucifix in my hands and just cry for a long time. I've gotten teary-eyed during Confession, but I've never cried during it. The tears afterward are of joy. It's a very emotional thing for me, I suppose. I tend to be pretty emotional about everything, though.

God will give you what reactions Christ will give you. I don't cry...well, usually I don't...but I know people who have to hold back from vomiting. Don't stress it.

However, you are broken...a broken, empty shell of a man.

I only have cried a few times in the confessional.. the first was when I reconciled.. I was 17, in the midst of the priest scandals with a priest who was VERY intimidated by the fact that a 17 year old was suddenly sitting in his office-- when I said I needed to reconcile, etc. he somehow got the impression that I was older ( I can't imagine where he got that idea.. I'm so immature! ) but anyhow, he was rather stern and forthright and I was freaked out enough beforehand, so it just wasn't a good combo. But it all turned out okay.

The second time was the next time I went to Confession after that-- it was our other parish priest, and I was soooo embarassed, and soooo scared, and he kept talking and talking (he's a BIG talker)-- and so I was in the confessional for just over an hour (seriously... it was the running joke of youth group for the rest of my time there!).

So I guess my tears were mostly nervous/embarassed tears. But I've come close a few other times--whenever I get really, really frustrated .. but usually I am pretty stolid during Confession-- I don't think I've ever seen anyone cry before/after Confession... (other than me those two times.. lol).

I haven't cried in confession yet either, and I've been Catholic for almost 11 years!

I get teary at adoration, I get teary when I pray, but I've never really cried I don't think. As for confession, I have an anxiety attack, and once I'm inside I get embarassed, and after I feel like I could fly around the sanctuary.

It's ok! Don't worry. I haven't cried, yet I feel inspired...feel confident and ready to tackle sin and kick satan's booty next time around

My faith is quite connected with my emotions, meaning I'm more likely to wear my heart on my sleeve and bear it all instead of keeping everything locked away. Not everyone is as emotional triggered by some things as others are. lol I'm just extra emotional

um im not that emotional so i dont really cry during confession and i didnt cry during the passion either... i think i was the only one in the theater ... i did cry once during Holy Eucharist but only once.
