mamalove Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Wow!! Thank you everyone for all the prayers!! They really helped. Everything went well and even started on time! James Simeon was born at 7:50 a.m. Feb. 2, 2005. He weighed 7 lbs, 15.6 oz. (A far cry from the 9lbs that they said he was going to be.) And is 18.5 inches long. There was a night and day difference between this one and the other two c-sections in regards to pain during the surgery. A spinal block is definately the way to go as I didn't feel any pain. Praise the Lord! He came out crying and cried for a long time, which is really good for a baby born under these circumstances. We are both doing great. James has lost quite a bit of weight, but it's coming back on. He's holding his head up and even smiling. (I think its just gas) During the surgery, the doctor said that everything in me looks great. So, we are good to go with #4 when the Lord says its time. Recovery is going slow, but that is no surprise. I have a lot of swelling and my iron count is very low, but other than that, things are good. That good pain medication helps. Hopefully I can get a picture on here soon!
