Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Did you know that Baptistboard sends out some of their members to lurk other sites to find those who migth want to join their forum so that they can decline membership to them? Seems kinda stupid to me. For being an 'open' forum, they're not really 'open' are they?
Jamel Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005
like i said before, they've got issues
Hahahaaha!!
rachael Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005
yeah, but i don't really care
me either. if they're gonna act that immature and that close minded, let them be.
Joseph Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 (edited) Now that doesn't really help if we don't sign up with the same exact name as we have here. Maybe someone will take the time to learn the truth while lurking here.....or maybe not. Edited February 8, 2005 by Joseph
dUSt Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Well, they are all welcome to come here and post. We don't restrict membership or censor arguments here. Those who wish to learn are certainly welcome. Even those who would try to convert us are welcome. I ain't skerd.
Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 I just posted the poll to see how many peeps actually did know. I think it's stupid that they lurk to try and find people who are going to join theirs. I think they've got too much time on their hands.
rachael Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005
I think they've got too much time on their hands.
we do too
Fiat_Voluntas_Tua Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 I pray that all of them come to Phatmass...In the paraphrased words of our Holy Father, 'As soon as our souls join in prayer together, our minds will join in thought together.' Totus Tuus, Andrew Joseph
theculturewarrior Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Let's teach em a lesson! Let's go lurk on their board.
Scofizzle Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 soudns like fun....just let them try to convert me......i'll lay the smackdown of Truth on em
Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 You should act like an ignorant Cahtolic 'searching' for the 'truth' And then defend the faith
JazzforJesus Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 hmmm if they saw this thread, i think they might be scared away
Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 Nope. Not really. In fact, they were so proud of themselves because they were sending 'scouts' out so they can 'catch' members who are breaking BB rules elsewhere. Or to see what they call themselves (denominations) elsewhere. They think they're slick. But they're really not.
theculturewarrior Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 The truth is, the distiction between Catholic and Baptist has no meaning in secular circles. The world hates Christians, and it doesn't distinguish between the various flavors. It's not that I'm indifferent about my faith. It's just that, 1.) Catholics and Baptists are united in Baptism, even if they don't know it, even though there is real and clear separation. 2.) Christianity as a whole is under attack. We should be allies. A good place to start in any dialogue is seeking common ground.
Mrs. Bro. Adam Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 Agreed. However, the realization must be that there are groups of NonCatholics, Baptists for example, hate the Church. Nothing more, nothing less.
Scofizzle Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 there is no common ground. The Truth is the Truth.....Catholics have it......and baptists.....don't
Tony Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005
Nope. Not really. dUSt Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 I love Baptists. John the Baptist was one of my favorite apostles.
