Boycott the Oscars

Chris Rock has stated that he thinks abortion in America is a "beautiful thing." He is pegged to host the Oscars this year. I suggest all Catholics boycott this disgraceful display of Holywood elitism and neo-Communist Bush bashing. Seriously though, Rock called abortion a "beautiful thing." He also made blatantly racist comments towards white people (people of European descent for those of you in the PC [not personal computer :D ] crowd). Chris Rock is a disgrace. The Oscars are a joke. I personally have never watched them, I won't watch them this year, and I won't ever watch them in the future. Anyway, spread the word.

I always boycott the Oscars, unless The Lord of the Rings is nominated for 11 awards...and then I print up the checklist and keep track of who wins every award. :nerd:

But yeah, I will be boycotting this year. They didn't nominate Phantom of the Opera for Best Picture <_<

I don't think Chris would be calling it such a beautiful thing if HE had been aborted...

I wonder what Stacie Orrico makes of all this... a couple years ago she was on TRL and was to give a 1 minute interview to a celebrity whos name was kept secret.. well it ended up being Chris Rock.. I had to be wondering what went through her mind since shes a Christian

Meh. He only thinks it's a beautiful thing because it relieves him of the responsibility of fatherhood. <_<

Well, I am not sure I have ever seen the Oscars.

Carp are hysterically funny.

Yes, he is funny like mushy mud pie is funny. That is about it.

It is sad that he misunderstands beauty, though he does grasp the real reason abortion is around...shallow sex.

Mmm...maybe a little.

But not funny enough -_-

I don't watch any of those award shows, except for the country ones.

Last night were the grammys, I watched the Pro Bowl

Unless you're completely dense, you realize that when Chris Rock does his little "spiel" about abortion, he is being ironic . . . his point is "abortion is beautiful" because now men can have sex with women, treat them like objects, and if she get's pregnant say "Go get an abortion, I'm not marrying you." It seems clear to me that he's not portraying it as a "good" characteristic, he's pointing out how abortion isn't really something that "helps" women.

I'm not saying I think that he's pro-life, I just think he doesn't really believe abortion is "beautiful."

if it was not for racism, chris rock would have no material and no career.

The question is, is Chris Rock using the masculine or femine form of "Kepha"? I hear that some Protestant denominations call him Chris Pebble.

isn't it masculine (petros) and feminine (Petra) in greek? heehee.

just being particular. don't mind me.

HAHA dUst made a funny...

Racism in jokes is really not so funny. I don't support any stereotyping or race bashing. It seems racism is a funny thing nowadays. Down her ein the south ther eis alot of White bashing that isn't really funny. I don't know why.. I feel sad, white folk have a beautiful history and background, infused with the Christian message. Sure they have their bad points, but so does everyone else. Oh well, I'm not going to rant.

God bless,
Mikey

PS, 1k
