Sad story needing to be shared
What gets me is WHY people make that kind of stuff up? You know, the dying person asking for money in Nigeria, killer camel spiders in Iraq, fake tsunami wave photos, Bill Gates giving out money, AIDS needles at gas station pumps...

I suppose it's the secret satisfaction of getting a mention on snopes?
a lot of them are sick ways to try to get internet servers to crash. if an email is spreading like wildfire through the net, and a server is trying to keep up, it is more likely to crash.

Email forwards may not be true most of the time, but the core message is often true.

To turn a reality into a lie loses it's value. It no longer any good to teach anything. It's just a sick perversion of a truth. And no one has that kind of bad luck ever. If studieis carefully, this whole thing really doesn't make sense. Take into account her relationship with her boyfriend (who lives far away, suggesting they were going out for sometime, and yet still were on a long distance relationship), why would he have a long relationship with anyone over a joke. It's hard to care when it's a lie.

God bless,
Mikey

I just wanted to say whether or not the actual story is true, things like that do happen. I have alwasy been over wieght. When i was in middle school and high school I had trouble with making friends. I did not have many although in my parish I found a few. When i was in middle school people would make fun of me like pretending to ask me out to dances and then laughing at me. It really hurt. I used to cry alot. I ended up suffering from major depression and even attempted suicide twice. The moral of the story is mouch more important than actual facts. Cruelty hurts and sometimes does kill. I made it though becuase of God, a few holy priests, and when i went to college, friends who accepted me and love me. I just thought I would share.

I agree that there is some message to be heard here. Too bad the added parts of the story about her parents totally threw off everything. It was ane xtra addition that wasn't needed.

As far as not being accepted, we've all felt a bit of it. Not everyone was as bad off as you, but not everyone had it as easy as you during those years. The fabrication of a story like this is sickening because when you make a true happening false, you make it seem like it can't happen. If the story was clearly mean tto be false and was told as some sor tof moral story, I'd care, but it isn't. You don't hand out morals immorally. That is, you don't lie to get the point across because even if any emotion or concern would rise from the story, it'd be squelched when you'd realize it's false concern and that would effectivly dim your concern for any story of a similar plot or moral.

God bless,
Mikey
