Ziggamafu Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Check it out under the "important announcment" at www.korn.com - i found out about this through my yahoo headlines. I'm guessing he got "saved" non-denominationally speaking, but still, what an awesome impact on the people (especially the kids and teens) who are their fans! The guy's leaving the band, speaking at churches, and dedicating his music to God, through Jesus. He is officially one step closer to full communion with the Church! = D
foundsheep Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Thats cool. I think it was time for him to start a new gig. Korn was about to reach Hasbeen status.
Paladin D Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 That's cool news, can't wait to hear his music. (I'm not a Korn fan)
Cathurian Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 This is GREAT news! Praise God! I liked Korn's first album, so if he decided to make a return to that style I'll be thrilled. Thank you God, for the grace you've poured out on this man. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!
StPiusVPrayForUs Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Doesn't mean a thing unless he accepts the true Church and the true God. Not a counterfit denomination. "The unity of Christians cannot otherwise be obtained than by securing the return of the separated to the one true Church of Christ from which they once unhappily withdrew. To the one true Church of Christ, we say, that stands forth before all and that by the will of its Founder will remain forever the same as when He Himself established it for the salvation of all mankind." (Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos)
Brother Adam Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Sure it means something. When he is baptized, if it is a proper baptism, he will be a reborn child of God.
Ash Wednesday Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I hope and pray he eventually has full conversion but it's certainly objectively a better direction than, say, being in a video that has his head superimposed on a dog prowling strip joints...
delta557 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 That's awesome that he found God. Kinda stinks that he's leaving the band, though. They'll have to find a new guy to take his place.
yomichael Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 No we just need Eminem you find his true calling and change his life and become a Catholic. This is good news we need youth to see this type of stuff.
myduwigd Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I watched a documentary on Korn and it was very depressing. I think they represent a lot of what is happening in the young teen culture=forcing oneself to dwell on depression which ends up making one depressed. I just noticed that they were in a lot of bondage. Im really glad this guy found his way to Christ.
Sarcastic Stare Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Lets just pray it doesnt take a bad turn with the fans. some might blame the man's leaving as the thing that finally killed the dying band. and that would be sad.
theculturewarrior Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Korn Bread, Kreamed Korn, MexiKorn, Kornmeal, Korn Kabob, Korn Salsa, Korn Chowder... ...that's about it.
DemonSlayer Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Scott Stapp doesn't to be seeing much success as a solo Christian artist.
