Jazz4jesus Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005
Well, we could choose a book from just about any American author. I just got done with the Hunt for Red October. It was a really good book.
Umm last time i checked Douglas Adams was British
Micheal5403 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005
Umm last time i checked Douglas Adams was British
actually, I don't know if he's american or not, but it was on the list we got.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I am in the middle of too many books... To name a few: Triumph, True Devotion to Mary, July's People, My Antonia, The Screwtape Letters, A Biography on St. Therese by Fr. Bernard Bro... that is all I can think of right now... Oh yeah... working on the Bible right now too...
track2004 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 I'm almost done with The Problem of Pain. After I finish it, hopefully this weekend, I think I'll finish Lolita. I think then I'll be done with all the books I've 1/2 way started, except for Catch 22. I don't get that book so I quit.
Cam42 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 At the moment, I am reading Deception Point, by Dan Brown. But I am also reading Letters to a Young Catholic by George Weigel. Cam42
bookwyrm Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005
Im reading the confessions of St. Augustine.
That's my favorite!!
jdjars Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 lotsa school books... generally my system (I'm homeschooled) is reading not necessarily text books, but annals and histories and stuff like that. I just finished Early Christian Writings, which includes the Didache. Good stuff. Right now I'm reading Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, some stuff by Roman authors, and Moby Johnsonville brat. The last is incredibly amusing.
christ_myantidrug Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 im reading Les Miserables. I love it!
