Guest Guest Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Do I need parantal permission to enter seminary? My mother doesn't support my vocation. Thanks. Guest
Pio Nono Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 JMJ 3/4 - St. Casimir Ultimately, one does not "need" parental permission to enter the seminary. However, if your parents want to stand in the way of discernment, it could be a learning opportunity for both of you. I encourage you to hear them out as to why they don't want you to enter seminary (press them and get the real story - oftentimes, the first reasons offered aren't the real ones). Then ask them to hear you out as to why you want to enter. You may not come to any agreements, but at least the air will be cleared a bit. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
