CorderoDeDios Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
Cordero, Do you think your a good person?
What I think is of no consequence.
Melchisedec Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
Cordero, Do you think your a good person?
I'd just ignore em. No fruitful conversation would come from it.
thessalonian Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Surely you have an opinion dear soul. Are you going to heaven or hell? Are you good enough to get to heaven?
CorderoDeDios Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
I'd just ignore em. No fruitful conversation would come from it.
And what does the Bible say about fruitful conversations? If you can answer that, the Key to the Lord's Kingdom is yours.
Melchisedec Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
Surely you have an opinion dear soul. Are you going to heaven or hell? Are you good enough to get to heaven?
fear of hell is pointless when you dont believe in it.
Archangel Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
Archangel has brought up a question regarding Matt 16 and the founding of a Christian Church.
I didn't bring up the question, you did. (1) You are actually digressing from the topic, but still suggesting a larger one that we might cover after the Peterine primacy issue. Did Jesus intend to found a Church at all?
CorderoDeDios Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
Surely you have an opinion dear soul. Are you going to heaven or hell? Are you good enough to get to heaven?
Yes, I'm good enough to go to Heaven, and when I get there St. Peter himself will grant me the prettiest harp in all the Kingdom, and I'll flutter to and fro with my pretty angel wings, and the first song I'll pluck is "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", by Iron Butterfly, and the Lord shall smile, and all shall rejoice.
thessalonian Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Have you ever told a lie, lusted after a woman, used the lord's name in vain, or uttered an angry word against someone?
CorderoDeDios Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005
Have you ever told a lie, lusted after a woman, used the lord's name in vain, or uttered an angry word against someone?
Once, I undressed a woman with my eyes, and she noticed, and asked me if my mind was filled with impure thoughts, and though indeed it was, I responded that it wasn't, and when she doubted my word, I exclaimed, "G-- da-- you, vile woman!" Does that count?
thessalonian Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 (edited) Yes, it counts and it sounds like you've covered two of them with that post. How about the rest of em. Edited March 4, 2005 by thessalonian
CorderoDeDios Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 (edited)
Yes, it counts and it sounds like you've covered two of them with that post. How about the rest of em.
Wait -- I lusted, lied, blasphemed, and scolded. That's a grand slam, if you ask me. Edited March 4, 2005 by CorderoDeDios
thessalonian Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 I thought sure I was speaking with someone of superior intelligence. The other two things I mentioned. Being angry with someone and calling them a naughty name or telling a lie?
