This will be the 18th surgery. Jay has been in constant pain since April, 2005. The amputated leg still hasn't healed, mostly due to the fact that Jay has fallen on it numerous times. The pain has been excrutiating, and this surgery came as a most unpleasant surprise. The surgeon told Jay that the amputated limb is only receiving blood from one artery, and that artery is 70% occluded. They've got to do an angioplasty to try to increase blood flow. The blockage is what's causing the continuous pain at this point. Please, ask the phatmassers to pray. Jay says that he would've liked to refuse the surgery altogether, but he doesn't have his affairs in order yet... Thank you so much for asking for him. IcePrincessKRS Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 What I know for certain: my Mom spoke with Jay in mid-August. He was doing ok, but was scheduled for another surgery... I am not sure if Mom has heard from him since the surgery or not, but I can ask her. If anything bad had happened Jay's son probably would have e-mailed my Mom (he has sent her messages from him in the past when he was in the hospital and unable to get to a computer).
