Hi... I've noticed that even the Catholicism forum Livejournal is heavily populated by liberal Catholics. The Truth is being smothered even there. There is also a Christianity community there with the occasional anti-Catholic sentiments. The fact that even the Catholicism community has a lot of controvery at times bothers me. We need more true Catholics helping to defend the faith over at Livejournal. The format's a little different from a forum like this one, but it's just as easy to participate in discussions.

Anyway, it's very easy to get an account on the popular website. Just go to:

http://www.livejournal.com/

and start up a journal. You don't have to write in it, you just need a username to be able to post in the communities.

I've been doing some defending there recently, but I feel a little outnumbered, especially on the Christianity community.

Anyone want to help out over there? It's a very, very popular website, so it likely gets a lot of views and exposure.

do you still need codes and stuff to make an account though?

Nope.

If anyone has any other questions, I'd be happy to assist.

Okay...once you're signed up with a journal, sign into your account.

You can join the Christianity community by clicking this link:

http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=christianity

and clicking on the 'join' link near the top. Then you'll be able to see all of the posts in the community and reply to threads.

Recently, there has been even more anti-Catholic type posts in that one. I usually try to reply directly to posts that oppose Catholicism; you can also reply to commenters *within* the posts (it's pretty self-explanatory, there are reply buttons everywhere).

The Catholicism community can be joined by clicking this link:

http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=catholicism

Click on the join link near the top of that one too.

It needs all the real Catholics it can get. It's not always TOO bad, but...not always too good either.

There are tons of communities, but these will probably keep crusaders busy enough for now. :) Anymore questions with Livejournal in general, I'd be glad to help.

Yes, it has a ton of communities that provoke a lot of discussion. In my previous reply to this topic, I linked directly to the main Christianity and Catholicism communities. But you can find more Christian/Catholic oriented communities on your own by going to the main page and typing something like 'christianity' in the Search box (make sure you have the Interest option activated, instead of Username). That'll show you a big list of all the communities that take an interest in Christianity, for example.

Also, one can view new community updates (from ones that they've joined) by clicking on their Friends page.

Paphnutius, have you started a journal there yet? To sign up for a journal, click on this link and follow the directions:
