Margarite Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 Is the Old Catholic Church, tied to the Utrecht Succession, valid? I mean, is it another rite like the Coptic or Eastern rites? or is it schematic? or just a cristian community?
Pio Nono Posted March 18, 2005 Posted March 18, 2005 JMJ 3/18 - Fifth Friday of Lent Margarite, As far as I know, the Old Catholic Church is currently in schism, as it denies the Pope's authority to appoint diocesan bishops. There may be other points, too, but as far as I know that was the issue that caused the schism. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
