crusader1234 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 I've got to say, I don't really agree with this. I think the guy is a jerk and made the wrong choice, but from a legal standpoint I don't think their arguments fly.
Iacobus Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005
I've got to say, I don't really agree with this. I think the guy is a jerk and made the wrong choice, but from a legal standpoint I don't think their arguments fly.
What is the grounds for an impeachment? To impeach him one would need to show that he has commited a crime. There is not crime in his upholding the written law, regardless of whether it is moral or not. His job is to uphold the law, which what he did. Furthermore, any mistakes he may have made during the hears would not be grounds for impeachment. They would merely result in having it decleared a "mistrial" and appealed, which, thanks to Congress, has occured. No, his actions are not the most moral every to have occured in a Court house, however, they are in the lines of the law as deemed by the State.
geetarplayer Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 In any case, I doubt the people have any say in whether or not a Supreme Court Justice should be impeached. -Mark

Email him the link.
Lounge Daddy Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 dude, yes! thanx for posting this... i am signing it right... done!
Q the Ninja Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 What laws did he uphold? Not Terry's law. No one did that one.
geetarplayer Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 After perusing the petition, I must admit that it is very persuasive and well-documented. (Although I am very much pro-life, I still think this petition will do little to change Judge Greer's mind.) -Mark
MichaelFilo Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Petitions may work, they have before. As far as him being lawful, did you read the list of points? Some of those things are bad choices and should be grounds for an impeachment. Even if he works within the state, we are pushin for a Catholic government. God bless, Mikey

CarpeDiem88 Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 In her case, I think that habeus corpus was suspended due to her disability. Therefore it's not up to her or her parents. It's up to her "husband".
the_rev Posted March 28, 2005 Author Posted March 28, 2005 I was wondering the same thing, but at least we're trying.
toledo_jesus Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 the problem isn't the interpreter of the law, it is the law. Greer could have made the morally right decision, but would have been making an erroneous legal decision which, on appeal from Michael Schiavo, could have been reversed.
