Yes, there have always been natural cycles. And perhaps this will all pass as well. But we are supposed to take note of the signs.

Luke 21

25. "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26. men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27. "Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.
28. "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
True but we can't say for sure. I mean most material used for the second coming is symbolic so I can like win the Lotto and somehow say that has to do with Jesus coming back. I personally don't like it when people claim they know everything about the end times then go and become judgemental about it in a way. For instance, i keep hearing protestant brothers and sisters saying the Anti-Christ is coming from Europe. Doesn't seem like much but get enough people to believe that and see how easily they begin to judge.
The Second Coming is suspended until the jewish nation converts. So it will be awhile. :)

but, the nation of israel also needs to be back in israel and for the first time in 2000 years they are. and, there is a 24 hour house of prayer there put on by the international house of prayer...their conversion may be closer than we think
My thoughts....

It should at least motivate us to a greater sense of urgency in bringing about God's kingdom through evangelizatoin. We know the end is getting closer. We know that sin is increasing in the world and people need to know Jesus Christ. Each disaster means that some died without knowing him and in some way, all be it perhaps small for us over hear, it was our fault they did not know him. Perhaps we didn't support the missions as we should or in some small way we were not as charitable and our lack of charity did not cause charity to spread throughout the world. If the disaster occurs in our neck of the woods will we be ready? Will we have properly prepared our families, of whom God has intrusted us with their salvation, i.e. raising the children to know him, love him, serve him? Will our neighbors have at least heard of Jesus by us and our actions? We are all responsible if a disaster happens and some do not make it to heaven. Let's pick up the pace.

yes indeed. we need to be praying. we need to be praying a lot. i cant even begin to stress how important prayer is! no matter what time yo ulive in, but especially in the end times. It is through prayer that we figure out whats on God's heart. its how we figure out if we actually are the end times generation.

Of course it's no coincidence, Thess.

What I've noticed: since Sister Lucy died all he** is breaking loose.

And what with Papa on a feeding tube as well.

Earthquakes happen every day.

The one at Christmas happened soon after the winter solstice and the last one after the vernal equinox.

It was revealed that if it weren't for St. Francis of Assisi, the world would have ended then.

All I can say is that there MUST be at least a few VERY HOLY people out there praying their little hearts out. Because our world has got to be much worse than it was in the 1200's...

Is the end near? Don't read the signs and wonders of the world too deeply. The Jews tired that and totally missed the Christ! Know the signs and wonders of the world - sure it is helpful. But know also the signs and wonders of the spirit. The battle is not a battle of flesh, but of spirit.

but be careful to not ignore them. I think why people dont like it when the signs are looked into is because people misinterpret them and miss others.

There are signs of the end times all around.

We live in the end of time, but it hasn't stopped yet.

The Marian apparations extend a little bit of haste to this whole thing. They do seem to make one think of a date very soon. Mary has always asked for things over relatively short periods of time.

I think that one point is important, you need to tell the people around you they may not have much time left. I mean think about it, who cares what happens to the earth. What about the people. How many people today are on the highway to hell and don't know it.

Have you done stuff to help them?

two quick points

*jewish nation stuff, the first prerequisite of that part is the peace in the holy land. They are working on that now. it seems to be doing all right.

*global weather will get worse, progressively because of the massive imbalance humans are creating in nature

if the end of times happens it does, but it might not. We just live every day in that shadow and it is an awesome challenge. You really should live every day as if it was your last because it very well might be.

jezic- you have a very wise understanding of this. just continue to be open to whatever God opens up for you to understand!

if any of you guys are interested and/or feel like God wants you to read up on this topic; Mike Bickle (from the INternational HOuse of Prayer) has written a book on this called Studies in Joel, a call to radical christianity in the end times
