Who Was Looking For Catholic Hardcore Rock Music?

i know there were several peeps looking for hardcore catholic heavy rock music.

its not my style (mine is punk) but i did find some that were catholic for all you hardcore rock ppl.

wow. i never knew there was such a thing, im speechless.

i have like 2 bands i found.

hey well on one of hte bands im checking to make sure their catholic before anything else....

as for catholic punk....haven't found it yet.....closest i could get was slickshoes....

i use to listen to strung out, face to face, lagwagon, millencolin, the ataris, no use for a name, mxpx, etc.etc. but only two of those were "christian" so i pretty much dropped them...

anyways..hopefully i can make sure the band i have in mind is catholic for reals.

(and not just "christian")

Are the White Stripes Catholic? I haven't heard that they are.

Of course there are the lyrics from Hotel Yorba:

That made me wonder, but besides the picture from the booklet of White Blood Cells of Jesus's wounded hand I haven't seen/heard anything afterwards to make me think they are.

Jack White is Catholic but says he is not very religious. That's a bit too broad of an answer. I went to Church every week including holy days of obligation but never considered myself to be religious. I really didn't pray or do the extra stuff. However, there are people out there who might have considered me overly religious.

I've also heard he bows to a fiber-opitc Mary during concerts and bought the guy from the Flaming Lips a fiber-optic Jesus.

I just picked up tickets to their New Year's Eve show in Chicago. :P

Is Living Sacrefice Catholic?

Living Sacrifice is non-denominational; their from Arkansas. Their old guitarist is Jason Truby who is now the lead guitarist for P.O.D. (BUY THIS CD "Payable On Death" on sale now) and one of their old guistarists is now the lead guitarist for Evanescence.

they're no longer together right but 3 of their band are catholic...but those ppl are now in another band called seven sorrows ( http://www.sevensorrows.com ) but their not erally that hardcore from what i've heard.....their only recording right now are all acoustic

however i tried asking for lyrics but no one has them...their mp3 is still up...

I have looked for hours for Catholic bands, and there pretty much are none, especially bands that are "normal" sounding.

I was in Disarm, and 1/2 of the members were Catholic and I was the singer (screamer) so I wrote all Catholic lyrics from pro-life, to anti-contraception, to anti-pornography, to womens rights (respect) to anti-UN, to a pro-Mary song. you can hear 3 songs on www.mp3.com/xdisarmx and I have 2 more to download if you want them.

God called us to start a Catholic band, so we started Seven Sorrows and consecrated the band to the Sorrowful Heart of Mary and to spreading her devotion and eucharistic adoration, but we aren't hardcore, on the site are just acoustic pretty songs www.sevensorrows.com

so please spread the word so we can show people that their are Catholic bands, and not just bands that have 1 Catholic member and call themselves Catholic or a Catholic band that only covers protestant songs.
