My Ordination To The Diaconate

I got news the other night that I will be ordained to the order of the transitional diaconate at 7:00 PM, at my home parish on Ascension Thursday night, May 5, 2005.

I ask for your constant prayers as I now try to get the thousand and one things I need to do before being ordained.

I very much doubt it, but I will throw it out there anyway. If anyone would like to go, and they are on the East Coast near NY, drop me an email and I will tell you exact locations and directions. Again, I am not expecting any of you to come, so please do not feel in any way obligated, I am merely tossing the invite out there if you are interested and wanted to go.

I know for a fact that Jake, whom we have not seen in a while, lives near me. I could also tell you that my bishop is Bishop Arthur Serratelli. All other details will be disclosed in an email, as I do not like giving personal information out on a public phorum.

For those of you who feel bad for not making it, please don't. I honestly did not intend for anyone from here to come, I just figured I would extend the invite, just in case there was someone that really wanted to go.

Remember, I still have the ordination to the priesthood to do and since I am my own class, I will probably be the only one ordained to the priesthood next year as well.

Please do not worry about it at all. I am amazed that you would even think about making the effort and it is humbling to know you would want to come if you could.

Thank you again for all of your prayers and congrats. Definitely keep up the prayers, I still have the first chapter of my MDiv on Apologetics and Evangelization to get together and I need to write a paper on those that depict Mary as Mother goddess. I am arguing against such a belief in light of VII docs as well as other sources.
