Fidei Defensor Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Anyone with eBay accounts - contact the person who won and see what they plan to do with it. They paid the full $2,000 for it, so i suspect that they may return it, since the bids were only at $100.
Brother Adam Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Is Guideposts a Catholic magazine? A previous purchase from them shows them subscribing to this article.
Brother Adam Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I sent this message to the buyer: Dear Sir or Madam, Your purchase of the Eucharist is quite the talk of the Catholic world right now. We would like to know what your intention is to do with the Eucharist. You will set a lot of minds at ease if you will return the Eucharist to the Church. It is the right thing to do. theculturewarrior Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Well...hopefully it's a fraud. Hopefully somebody just got an unconsecrated host and decided to make a buck.
Theoketos Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 http://olrl.org/pray/pieta/gldarrow.shtml May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most mysterious and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in heaven, on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar. This prayer was revealed by Our Lard to a Carmelite Nun of Tours in 1843 as a reparation for blasphemy. "This Golden Arrow will wound My Heart delightfully," He said, "and heal the wounds inflicted by blasphemy." Imprimatur + T. J. Toolen, Archbishop of Mobile-Birm.
Brother Adam Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something from the buyer.
Brother Adam Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 The first person who was bidding was Catholic: Dear flyfree432, Yes, I've spoken to my priest, who is advising me in this matter. So far, I've bid $150.00 and still not met the reserve. I am so very upset over this matter. May I ask your prayers in this? Thank you and God bless. In Christ, [name removed]
Fidei Defensor Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005
Is Guideposts a Catholic magazine? Please help us pray that Jesus is returned home safely!
dUSt Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I would have put the $2000 on my credit card, rescued Jesus, sent all the other stuff back to the seller, and then dispute the charges with my credit card company. Let's pray that the buyer has good intentions.
Fidei Defensor Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus, who we pray for his safe return to the Church. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

MC Just Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) The guy who bought it was a Devout catholic!!!!! A 3rd degree knight!!! I just got an email from him!!!! It's going to it's proper Place. Edited April 12, 2005 by MC Just
MC Just Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 this is what he said: HI, so as to ease your fears, I am a very devout and traditional Catholic and a 3rd Degree Catholic Knights of Columbus member. So I take my Catholic faith very seriously. And although money is tight for me, I could not take the chance of this host falling into the wrong hands. I may send it to the Vatican or give it to one of the traditional Catholic churches or to the priests at EWTN. Haven't made up my mind on that yet. But please be assured though, that it will be protected.
