Paladin D Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 (edited) Some of you know that I went to Star Wars Celebration 3 (official Star Wars convention), which was held in Indianapolis, Indiana on the 21st-24th of May. I have about 60 minutes of video footage, and about 50 pictures. Of course, half of the footage and pictures are *ok* or didn't turn out that well. So, inbetween making my way through thousands of fans, being directed by stormtroopers, and waiting in lines, I took the time to pose with some costumed fans and to take some footage of the Star Wars utopia, which lasted for four days. Enjoy. Note: All those in costume are fans, some of them were volunteers for the convention, helping with lines, security, and etc. Another Note: Some of the images are blurry. Last but not least: Try and not scream at some of the images, in some areas the lighting was horrible (like in the Autograph Hall), so I look different. Pictures: 1) Me with a Sandtrooper in the dealer room (Exhibit Hall D, where people sell stuff). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3062.jpg 2) Me again with an Imperial Royal Guard, in the dealer room as well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3063.jpg 3) Posing with a green Clonetrooper (outside of Exhibit Hall D). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3064.jpg 4) A bounty hunter (left) and a tusken raider (right), with me (middle), this was in Exhibit Hall C (fan fair hall). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3178.jpg 5) A female Rebel pilot and me posing infront of an almost-life-sized X-wing (Exhibit Hall C). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3176.jpg 6) It seems that George Lucas and Morpheus (from The Matrix) were in a disagreement over something. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3175.jpg 7) Mace Windu posing for the camera http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v706/PaladinD/100_3089.jpg 8) My older brother posing with a Princess Leia in a metal bikini (from Return of the Jedi). Paladin D Posted May 5, 2005 Author Posted May 5, 2005
SWEET! I wanted to go, but I have no money.
Don't worry then, so far individuals in Lucasfilm (and some of the actors that were at C3) are saying there will be a Celebration 4. The location will most likely be Las Vegas, it'll take place in 2007 for the 30th Anniversary of SW.

Paladin D Posted May 7, 2005 Author Posted May 7, 2005
Wow. You are officialy a geek. This isn't nearly as bad as the Trekkies, though. You have that going for you. Don't tell me you're a Trekkie...
Actually, George Lucas made mention of Trekkies during the Q&A session. He was practically saying that Star Wars is met to encourage people to move on, not for them to make Star Wars their life (such as, living in a basement and collecting everything there is, and not having any life outside of Star Wars). Though he quickly stated "Not saying you guys do that, more like Trekkies." Or something of that nature.
Lounge Daddy Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 Dude, now I have geek envy And I think envy may be a sin You made me sin, Pal! But it sure looks like a great time!
