Lil Red Posted May 8, 2005 Author Posted May 8, 2005 plus they have many books on sale as well, so stock up!
Mogmog Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 Man they published that scary AA-1025 book that still freaks me out from time to time. But anyone with the guts to publish that ought to stay in business.

Mogmog Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005
Yes, but they also support the SSPX....be careful.....not everything they have is faithful.....
That's good to know. Thanks for mentioning that.
Lil Red Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 yes, but they do have a lot of good books by different saints.
Pio Nono Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 JMJ 5/8 - Ascension of the Lord (Seventh Sunday of Easter) Plus, purely from a business standpoint, what irresponsible person is running that company, that they have to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy for the second time in at least five years (I got mailings from them about this in high school)? I wouldn't feel comfortable giving my money to any company that is just going to blow it, turn around, and plead for it again in five years.
Lil Red Posted May 9, 2005 Author Posted May 9, 2005 wow, i guess i didn't expect such negative reaction from phatmass about this.
philothea Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 I kinda like TAN books, but they do seem to have gotten a little wacky. Or maybe they were always wacky and I didn't notice it. I lent them money for a new building oh... 12 years ago or so. They paid it back, no problem. I will consider buying some books -- thanks for the link.
Pio Nono Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 JMJ 5/8 - Ascension of the Lord (Seventh Sunday of Easter) TAN does some good work, I'm just saying that they need to fire their bookkeeper.
Theoketos Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005
Yes, but they also support the SSPX....be careful.....not everything they have is faithful..... Cam
Words out of my mouth. Everything that they print which is faithful you can find on line.
nikkan_hanil Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 That's carp. I thought they were great. What's with all this "TAN is wacky" stuff? Did they print some questionable material in the past?
DemonSlayer Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005
Yes, but they also support the SSPX
Where did you read that?
philothea Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Well, I'm probably about halfway through TAN's catalog, and I've found 8 books against Vatican II and the Novus Ordo. There are a lot of other good books, though.
DemonSlayer Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 (edited) Well, I never realised that, I'v eonly read two of their books anyway, Angels and Devils; and Eucharistic Miracles. Edited May 9, 2005 by DemonSlayer
philothea Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 I have to admit I don't know how radical the Traditionalist books are. They could be loyal-but-critical.
