Theoketos Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Here is the Program Seating of mothers: As I Kneel Before You Processional: Air on a G String--Bach Canon in D--Pachabel First Reading: Tobit 8:4-9 Responsorial Psalm: "Blest are those who love you, happy those who follow you, blest are those who seek you, O God."--Psalm 128, setting by Haugen Second Reading: Ephesians 5:21-33 Gospel Acclamation: Breaking Bread #863 Gospel: John 2:1-11 Rite of Marriage Offertory: All That We Have--Ault Holy, Amen, Lamb of God: Breaking Bread #854, 856, 858 Memorial Acclamation: Breaking Bread #10 Communion: Ubi Caritas--setting by Taize Adoro Te Devote--Breaking Bread #483 Dedication to Mary: Ave Maria--Schubert (I used the breaking bread hymnals because they are the ones the particular Parish has and so I did not have to put everything in hand which I will attempt to make as soon as I get my laptop up and running) Now All I need to do is make the program and get straight the processional order.
Dudette Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 I can play Canon in D(on the piano)...it's sooooo soothing..
Fides_et_Ratio Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 everything looks good! (excepting Marty Haugen, but I'm choosing not to be too picky)
theculturewarrior Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 I think "Nigra sum" by Palestrina would be better than the traditional wedding processional. But it would be costly to find a choir to sing it.

Colleen Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 Gounod's Ave Maria . . . I've always wanted that at my wedding, if I get married.
Theoketos Posted May 10, 2005 Author Posted May 10, 2005 I am glad that we share something more in common!
Philippe Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005
Processional: Air on a G String--Bach
sorry

Theoketos Posted May 10, 2005 Author Posted May 10, 2005
sorry
Nerd it is Otay I like Gounond's Better. During our Consecration to Mary will have finished our total consecration to Mary by St. Louis de Montfert, and will say that prayer.
Q the Ninja Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005
I think "Nigra sum" by Palestrina would be better than the traditional wedding processional.
