Lifelong SW fan here.

1337 k4th0l1x0r Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 I noted what the actual response was last time I watched the movie. Interesting indeed.

I remember the day: it was my first trip to a drive-in theater as well as the first and last time I saw a crop duster crash into a house during the car ride to the drive-in.

Paladin D Posted May 16, 2005 Author Posted May 16, 2005 The answer is: (D) "No, I am your father"!!! Though people often say "Luke, I am your father", in the film, he says "No" instead of "Luke". I suppose the reason they do this is because people will recognize where the line is from since it has the word "Luke" and "father" in it. The scene goes as such: Darth Vader - "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father." Luke Skywalker - "He told me enough! He told me you killed him." Darth Vader - "No, I am your father." Luke Skywalker - "No, no, that's not true! That's impossible!" Darth Vader - "Search your feelings, you know for it to be true!" Luke Skywalker - "NNOOO!!! Noooo!"
MissScripture Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I read somewhere that it is the most misquoted movie line of all time...not exactly sure how you could measure that...but it is frequently misquoted
