EcceNovaFacioOmni Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I cannot believe it. Scientology lacks any intellectual merit.
sweetpea316 Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Yikes.... I didn't know that either of them were Catholic. What a shame that they strayed so far away to Scientology.... Prayers for them!
Guest Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 tom cruz is a plaboy to the casket drops marriage doesnt mean anyting to him becuz in his "religion" his "god" doesnt hold him accountable for breaking sacred vows wut a joke
Theologian in Training Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 What an odd relationship. I guess the age difference has absolutely no bearing on their relationship. Granted, I am sure Katie is happy that she is actually dating Tom Cruise, but did she ever stop to think that when he is 50 in 8 more years she will only be 34. What an odd relationship.....
MC Just Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005
You guys also know that Tom Cruise is a former Catholic as well, right? And that he even considered the priesthood and was a seminarian?
Good Friday Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Katie Holmes has embraced Scientology because she embraced Tom Cruise, if you get my drift. Her fun with Scientology will probably last about as long as her ridiculous relationship with the overrated Hollywood twit she's dating. We should pray for her, though. Scientology is a very dangerous religion.

Myles Domini Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 We should try to make as little out of this as possible. Its sad for her that she has left the ark of salvation and now risks the story that only the barque of Peter can shield humanity from. Nonetheless, apostasy is not unique to Ms Holmes. There are thousands of others doing the same thing everywhere in the Western world and we shouldn't let this one case distract us from that fact. Nor should we kick up a storm so those who idolise hollywood stars feel its a good fad to attach themselves to like they did with Kabbalah.

Tony Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I consider myself a fan of hes too and thought it was awesome she was Catholic to top it all off.. so this really saddens me
LSW Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Wow, I wonder how he ended up wandering so far from the Church...
Its called Hollywood
StMichael Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 When you are loved by millions. Make millions. Can command millions. You become the false idol that you worship. One of the deadly sins...PRIDE.
hopeful1 Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 very sad, i knew Cruise was a former catholic and ex seminarian, but i had no idea about Katie. more of a reason to be annoyed by this relationship
Don John of Austria Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005
This makes me the saddest because she used to be Catholic
Yeah so did Nicole Kidman, and I believe so did he.

I think age differanne is the most overrated thing ever theo, my Grandfather was 11 years younger than mmy grandmother ( back when that arrangement was scandalous) his Grandfather was 22 when he married his wife who was 14, there has never been a divorce in my family dispite big age differances in some cases. ( on the other hand my parents are only one week apart) weather or not a marriage is a good thing has NOTHING to do with age differances.
Kilroy the Ninja Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Scientology is insipid. Pray for them all.
melporcristo Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 (edited) yeah when I first heard about them dating, I had a theory he is trying to get the women he was with to join his religion. Like Nicole was Catholic, isn't anymore. I take Penelope was at least raised Catholic, probably isn't anymore. Now Katie ... go figure! Edited June 14, 2005 by melporcristo
