philothea Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Cool! Sounds like a good climate for those wool habits.
Pio Nono Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 JMJ 6/15 - Eleventh Wednesday You talking about the ladies from Demontreville? GREAT convent; I know a couple of them. Only downfall is that they're from Minnesota.

Dreamweaver Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 There's a group of Carmelite nuns that live across the river in Wahpeton, ND. Haven't visited them, but they sound like cool peeps.

philothea Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 I find the idea of hermits with a website kind of cute.
jezic Posted June 18, 2005 Author Posted June 18, 2005 yeha i don't quite understand that, but ohh well.....
FiatLux1860 Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Hey, speaking of Carmelites.... This group isn't in Minnesota, but as long as people are considering them, please consider the group in Mobile, AL. I posted more information about them and their need on the "what communities have you contacted?" section, but I'll just say that they're dying out, and could really benefit from this wonderful welling up of new vocations. Please keep them in your consideration and your prayers!
let_go_let_God Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Minnesotans are cool (on more than one level) and rock on for the hermits with a website. Maybe God is there webmaster? (Prolly not, but funny thought) God bless- LGLG
Guest brendan11490 Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I know the hermits in Lake Elmo, MN really well... and the prior, Father John Mary of the Cross (O. Carm.) is a great guy. The carmelitehermits.org hermits are from Christoval, TX. Their prior is Fr. Fabian Maria. They are both great communities. Consider them. God Bless, Brendan
