jp2_rules Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 heh, if i had 2 hands to type right now, i'd go on forever with this...lol. but, we talk about tv a lot at school in my media classes -- obviously. anyway, media is a gift. just like anything, it can be abused and not used correctly. however, it is a very powerful medium. even though the net is very accessible, tv is certainly right up there. we are stewards if what God has given to us. it's up to us to use tv for good and holy things. peace, chris

If I'm flipping through the channels to get to Fox News or EWTN, who knows what's going to be on the other channels? And sooner or later I'm going to get bored with one or the other, and even Fox uses sex to sell itself. Nowadays things that were once considered pornographic are no longer censored, and I think it takes quite a bit of will power not to focus in on things that I shouldn't be looking at. So, I will only preach to myself from now on on this, but I encourage you all to take a look at [url="http://www.eric.ed.gov"]http://www.eric.ed.gov[/url] and see what the scholars are saying about passive television viewing.
