Since the other Arcade games are not available currently, I was wondering if anyone has been working on Popewars?

So how fast can you hit the 10 million mark? Who else knows the secrets of Popewars?

Using the "secret of Popewars," I can pass 10 million on day 1. Otherwise, it takes a little while.

It's pretty easy.

Just pay off the debt as soona s you have enough money.

Travel is free after that, then you can buy low and sell high and you'll have money for days.



I was hoping it was a Mortal Kombat style game... where past popes fight each other in an alternate universe created by satan with super-spiritual-powers as special weapons.

St. Gregory VII with the "Papal Bull" which actually is a bull that rams the enemies.

Pope Urban II has "the Crusades"....

anyone else wonder why dUSt chose the exact definition of simony as the object of the game? "buy and sell holy stuff"... lol

I mean, he could just say religious objects... but "holy stuff" makes it basically the exact definition of simony, you're not allowed to sell anything that is holy.

ah well... such is the irony of the game

1 day. I can clear 100,000,000,000 in about 40. I called hot stuff when I did it.

I just played it and figured out the secret. I spend a lot of time writing software so by someone saying there was a secret way to get lots of money quickly I was able to quickly discover where the bug is.

Okay. Here's the "[i]secret[/i]". When you start the game, the first thing you want to do is repay or borrow some money. You start with $2,000, even though you don't see it. Then buy 250 Crucifixes which is the maximum you can carry. You will notice you still have all your money and no days and 250 crucifixes. Click on a City, and you will be on Day 1. You can now sell your crucifixes. If they are worth about $40,000, you will have $10,000,000. If you borrowed $3,000, you will have $5,000 before you sell your crucifixes and may be lucky enough to have the opportunity to buy a Catechism and convert Protestants. My record is over $28million on DAY 1, but I got bored.

What would be cool is to have a tournament to see who can do the best in 30 days, with no cheating.

Oh, I found a different secret. On day one, sell -999999999999 (or some negative number like that) crucifixes. Eventually you can buy back that same number, but positive, of the crucifixes at a lower price and you'll be a 0 in your inventory with gobs of cash.
