I mean, I knew they were great, they take away the garbage and its relatively inexpensive compared to other services around here. Yesterday I emptied the kitchen trash, but since I knew there was more that would need emptying before taking it to the curb today I left it out on the porch so we could take it all down at once. I just went outside and found a note on the porch held down with a rock. It reads: Customer, We are starting 1hr earlier. We picked up your trash about 8:00 AM THANX Garbage Dude WE HAVE A GARBAGE DUDE! Not just a "garbage man" a garbage DUDE! haha Plus that he even came and got the trash from my porch, which he didn't have to do since they only are required to take it from the curb. IcePrincessKRS Posted July 5, 2005 Author Posted July 5, 2005 I think there is a trash service that works for the city, but we don't live IN town, and there are other places that take it away, too, so we just asked Matt's sister (she lives across the street) who they use and thats how we wound up with the Garbage Dude. Its like 10 bucks a month (as opposed to a certain ammount per week like most places--I think some of my family in NY pays 5 bucks a week).

I'd either have to get up early and bring it out or leave it out in the morning and I don't think they'd want to eat them if I just left it. haha
franciscanheart Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 hmm interesting. our garbage is picked up by the city in the city issued garbage trucks (i call them this because theyre huge). our garbage man leaves us interesting things too.... like trash still in our turned over garbage truck. i want a garbage dude.

Carrie Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 I don't even know where our garbage goes. I never even see our garbage guys because they come so early. It's just like the garbage fairy comes and takes it away. hahahaha, I just had a funny visual of a garbage man in a tutu.
