Thy Geekdom Come Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 I'm starting a website. I want to know if I can get any people who know how to design to help me. I can't really pay...anything...but you can put it on your resume. It would be a Catholic site with forums and would be centered on Catholic culture, history, legendry, prayers, saints, spiritual warfare, and evangelization. I know nothing about web design...at all. Any takers? I also don't have publisher or anything...

Thy Geekdom Come Posted July 9, 2005 Author Posted July 9, 2005 The fact of the matter is...I want to give to the Church in a way that is really dynamic and brings souls to Christ...and just helping pay the parish bills (which I unfortunately don't do my share of) is not enough. I want to help in the Catholic online. I have ideas, themes, and a domain name ready. I have the money to support the site...just not the money to pay designers.
Iacobus Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Have fun. HTML is almost easy to learn, if you don't want to really do anything major. I can almost code a FULL table by MYSELF without cheatsheets! Of course, you want a real site that looks decent. You are going to need some webdesign software, coding is not fun after a while. Or, if you have any photostuff, I think that paint can even do it, you can make an image that is your webpage. Make the image an image map, select where you want to place the links and their references and export it. I think Photoshop, only one I know how to use, gives you a set of code to copy and paste.
