Didacus Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) 1. Au Nom de Tout les Miens (in the name of all my people) Mr. Gray true life exprience as a jew surviving the Nazi concentration camps... 2. Life is Wonderful (very sad, very true, very uplifting as well...superb, a masterpiece) 3. Word of the Rose A fine mix of suspense, who done it and history related to the church 4. Zardoz Fantasy that holds real, hard truths on life that few dare to comprehend or admit. 5. Nightmare on Elm Street (only the first one....few films ever put the fear in me as this one did... maybe because the first time I watched it I was around 10 yrs old?) 6. Exorcist Nothing like the fear of the devil to make you run to God! 7. The Fox and the hound Teaches friendship to the very young... something graceful in itself... 8. L'homme qui plantait des arbres (the man who planted trees) Teaches life long commitment and perseverance. 9. Soilent Green Fiction... but teaches about a future that many argue is inevitable, cruel, and also protrays hardships of life which are 'hidden' through thin societal lines... excellent movie.. 10. Road Warrior Entertaining and teaches the same lessons as Soilent Green... but to a lesser extent.. but very entertaining. Other honorable mentions: Alien Mustarafu (spelling? first film of Dracula) Snow White (A crown masterpiece wihtin the disney vault) Maximum Overdrive Lord of the Rings trilogy Enter the Dragon (Bruce Lee baby!!!!) James Bond with Sean Connery "Roxanne" and all other works relating directly or indirectly to the immortal character of CYRANO DE BERGERAC! Edited July 8, 2005 by Didacus
Noel's angel Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 awww you were scared of Nightmare On Elm Street? I used to have a crush on Freddy when I was younger...those movies were so funny, even moreso than Child's Play-it cracked me up too

Oh ya... you can add Hellraiser to my honorable mention list...Have you seen the comics of hellraiser? Far far far worse than the movies... far worse... some images few can stand to see... Clive Barker is a good artist.. twisted... but a good artist nonetheless...
Socrates Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) Hard to pick an absolute fave, but I love The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - the definitive classic Clint Eastwood spaghetti western. It's very entertaining, funny, poetic, iconic - always a joy to watch. Edited July 8, 2005 by Socrates
