wierd. im at the university of nebraska. i come here alot to get online. i came to this site and it said last visit 11:27 a.m. today! somebody from here was just on here today. what a small world...

That's weird! What a small world indeed.

Although my computer says my last visit was at 8:30 this morning. Yeah I was here then.....but I've been back at 11:00 and now at 12:30. Hasn't updated it since. Strange.

Also....does anyone know if there's a way to "hide" the posts that have been read? I keep having to scroll through all the posts I've read in order to get to the new posts. Maybe I'm just doing things wrong. I'm still trying to figure everything out!!

i dont know, hot stuff. your comment was from an ongoing argument made just to make me mad. do you want to explain to my friends that are dead from the game. thats gotten shot in thier head and face. crack dealers that i'm surrounded by everyday. the prostitutes out on the corner that my kid has to see. the cockroaches infested even on christmas morning. on the couch in the apartments i had to live in without air-conditioning growing up. the thirteen assaults tickets just as a minor. the seven junior highs i went to and got kicked out of. the times i got jumped. the people that got stabbed. both bones in my arms being shattered (twice) from punchin people. all my friends in the pen state and federal pens for manufacturing and conspiracies for selling pounds and kilos of ice. the syringes laying out in the street. people by the pay phones asking for change everyday like theyre really gonna call someone. bums breaking into apartments to sleep. cars being stolen. meth labs being blown up. people sleeping on park benches. efficiencies as low as 175$ by slumlords. the food stamp cards being sold for crack. the lemon juice packets on the ground that was used to break down crack and shoot it up. five parties on one street at night. the people walking around talking to themselves. girls gettin raped. gas stations gettin robbed. hot stuff. what you dont understand is..this is my life. this is just a glimpse of what ive been through. what ive came from. where i struggle everyday. EVERYDAY. i cant walk a BLOCK or go the gas station or grocery store. btw..they even got cops that work outside the grocery stores because of so many fights that break out. they got gas stations that close down cuz they got robbed every night. i cant go no where without crackheads or meth dealers comin up cuz they know me. im a legacy here. gang bangers. every mafia. drugs bein transported from other states or countries. that own certain businesses or even areas of town. i know at least hundreds on top of hundreds of people here. i grew up in this and ive been out here hustlin since i was twelve for a places to crash and food to eat. i know the game back and forth. i can tell you every street and every alley of the ghettos here. or at least the parts of town..everyone else calls "ghetto" when theyre lucky enough to just drive through it...
btw..come here and tell US here that our lives arent ghetto.

(bump) lets see. my neighborhood..the one that my brother almost dint eve come in saturday to pick me and my son up after i called him from a payphone because i needed to do laundry. the one he says he doesnt like comin in too because of all the crackheads walkin around. my neighborhood they call ghetto. lets see..i live two blocks from the 16 story state capital. right outside downtown. i live right next to a soup kitchen for homeless people. back in the alley. ive seen a syringe layin on the ground for two days becuase no one would pick it or throw it away or call the cops. everywhere i walk i see baggies for dope. spraypainted in blue on the fence outside my apartment building in four foot letters is 13 SUR. just in case..youre not from the GHETTO and doesnt know what that means its 13th street surenos. a latino street gang that rivals with 18th streeters or LOMAS. i got crackheads walkin up and down the street. somebody a couple blocks away got thier car stolen the other day. down the street is a gas station that got closed down from gettin robbed EVERY night. next to that is a mexican convenience store and mexican restaurant. you can get fake ids there from the mexican mofia. (they even got thier own private airport that brings illegal aliens up here from texas and mexico to sell dope for them) on the corner stands prostitutes. (half a block from a police sub staion) thier pimp/crackdealer, whom i know, i saw walkin the other day came up to me and lifted up his tongue and showed me about a gram and half of crack in cellophane. (they put it in thier mouth so they can swallow it when the cops come) he walks around with a high tech walkie talkie so he can keep tab on his hoes and for the apartment he goes to do business in. about three or four blocks from that is my best friend joey perez. see hes one of my six friends that got shot. he got shot with a nine millimeter at point blank in his forehead and the bullet came out the top of his head. his blood, pieces of skull and parts of brain were splattered on the wall behind him. he was in icu for months. where they said he wasnt gonna live. and then to a rehabilitation center where he could finally talk again. hes missin parts of his brain. part of his skull is fake. they used staples to fix the many surgeries. he cant use his right arm and he walks with a limp. (he has a brace on his right ankle.) he has seizures daily (which hell probably die from soon) and he'll have to live off disability the rest of his life. which means he aint ever leavin the ghetto. i could go on and on about everyone who got shot, stabbed, cut somebodys head off. the mafias, organized crime. heart attacks, overdoses, strokes, dope dealers, conspiracies, life sentences, gangs. when i was just seventeen i was makin 500$ a day. somehow. i guess you could say we still drive around in 50,000 dollar rides with 40,000 dollar stereo systems on spinners. ya know..the real ones!
i dont expect an apology. but dont downgrade me for sayin where im from. becuase i feel ALL THIS when i get doubted. the struggle aint somethin im proud of. but it is who I AM. accept it. i had to. because this is the world i got thrown in...

Rick, I don't know why you got mad. You said you lived in the Ghetto of Lincoln, NE. I've been to Lincoln a few times but not enough to make a judgement on whether it had a ghetto or not. Since there's a half a dozen Lincolnites that visit here on a regular basis, I put the question out.

Did I ask it with a bit of skepticism? You bet. But it was an honest question. The other Lincolnites are telling me there is a bad area of town. That it may not be compared to major cities.
