Dudette Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 The thought of phatmass addiction suddenly popped into my head now. I'm sure a lot of you know how addicted to phatmass was before I left last week, well during this week Christ has really brought me closer to Him and taught me that He is the only one I should be addicted to. That doesn't mean I have to stay away from phatmass no, but it was perfect timing to leave. I would just suggest to all those who are extremely addicted to take a break, not too long but just take a break, it's actually a lot less stressful and when you're bored you talk to God instead of going on phatmass. It does wonders. (I'm not saying being addicted to phatmass is bad, there are different levels of addiction but if it gets to a level where you aren't doing His will anymore, then it's bad.)

philothea Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) I had a practice that I should probably resume. On Friday, I would give up whatever I had indulged in too much during the week. Doing that helped weaken some bad habits, and if I didn't want to give a particular thing up, I'd have to regulate myself better during the week. So, we'll see if I'm around tomorrow. corban711 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 (edited) i think there was a time when i could say i was addicted...i still come to this site a lot. but what i've found is that i really almost never have anything i feel is important enough or funny enough to add to a conversation, so i just don't. (not that any comment has to be super important or funny or anything. i am just disciplining myself to waste less words than i used to in order to keep silence slightly better so i read and pray. hehe. philothea Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Well... I avoided Phatmass on Friday. I think this only means I spend more time catching up today. I'm not sure this is a good tradeoff.
