I was so happy to find it when I did...I think God pointed me here, because I was having so much trouble with heterodoxy in my "Catholic" school and it was nice to know there were/are people who are orthodox and know that I am not alone!

Old_Joe Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 (edited) Based on recent evidence, I think it started off as a chatroom and millions of posts later it became this. Along with those millions of posts, came both direct and indirect interactions from various people, events, environmental factors, etc. Of course there will be spin offs and a new forum would be created. This new forum would be basically the same. The appearance, structure, behavior, and life cycle would be very similar at first. However, this new forum would have adaptations based on its own unique interactions, and therefore would become something else along the same lines. Edited July 11, 2005 by Old_Joe

Provide something that doesn't have an equivelant. For example, a "Seminarian Blog" will not be as succesfull as a "Seminarian Motorcycle Lover's Blog". Why? While the former has many equivelants, the latter is the only one that exists in the world. That's the secret. Oh... and dope graphics help too.

Then I moved on to the homepage, and there was some flash and some sweet music... and yes, I was still in the library... but I don't remember the music blaring, but I remember its utmost coolness... I think that is how many people have found this treasure trove... They stumbled upon it one day!
Didacus Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 (edited) I started on phatmass because i found, to my surprise, that i like to post. then JPII died, and that got me looking and searching the interet to know more about Catholicism... especially in the conclave days prior to Benedict XVI being elected. i needed a new place to post, and wanted to know and learn my religion... phatmass was perfect. (I needed a new place to post because the last place i posted i got into arguments with a few homosexual individuals who didn't like the catholic doctrines... boy they bombarded me good... i bombarded back... I only know of 2 people being banned. It does take a lot. You have to really try to get banned, and even then, dUSt still gives you chance after chance. Not necessarily satanism, but dissension within the ranks - very close.
God Conquers Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Wallpapers.... Catholic Wallpapers. In order to get banned here you need to be either incredibly annoying or universally disliked and incorougeable.
