keighters Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I was at work today and two of the franciscan friars of the renewal came and visited me. It was so excited. They came actually to see my family (were in PA, they're in NY) but when they found out I was at wprk the decided to visit me on the way back. And then this kid Phil who i work with showed up and he got into this hour long disscusion with Br. Antonio about practically everything. it was so cool though and i hope it brings/brought him closer to the church... i didnt even know that he was catholic and now that i know and that he whats to know more about the faith i'm definitely gonna be working on him.

I first got to know them on the Mount 2000 retreats at Mount St. Mary's College + Seminary, and then when I was working in New York City last summer I would ALWAYS see friars and sisters on the subway. it was so cool! they are such a blessing to the city.

I have gone about 8 times (4 times as a college volunteer- many times as a girls dorm guard) It is such a great thing!
