Whats most Important to you in Movies?

He's definitley Tom Hanks, but he plays someone rather different than the typical nice-guy Hanks character. It's been a while since I saw it, but if I remember right, he's more of a morally ambiguous protagonist than a straight-forward villian. He plays the narrator's father, who's a Depression-era gangster.

He's really an anti-hero in the movie, and not really a villian. He's put into a position where he is trying to protect his son, and is forced into things that he didn't want to face. Part of it was filmed at the private beach that my cousin's cottage is on. (remember the beach at the beginning and end? I've swam there, played volleyball there, and football)

acting, storyline and action.

i can't stand bad acting.

The most important thing to me is if the actor can make the character believable. I've seen some nutty movies, but the characters were right on. I guess that's a combination of talent, and a good director, which is also talent.

humor is another thing. I think acting is the most important, action second, but storyline is almost as important as action : :

Its a good movie.... the action is increditable... the storyline is decent. etc.

I love a movie in which the character's distinct personalities are developed really well. One of my favorite movie's is Big Fish.
