Lounge Daddy Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 I felt that way a long time ago when one of my favorite Christian punk bands, The Crucified, came out as anti-Catholic on an album – and had a blatant anti-Catholic Pope-bashing song. It made me sick, I was so repulsed – I liked the band so much up until then.

That made me ill... wow This is why so many people have blurred visions of the Catholic church because of things like this. I am converting to Catholicism from being born protestant. It's such a sad thing, too... Kiel aka Moses the Black actually spends a lot of time defending the Truths of our Catholic Church to a lot of ignorant souls... All we can do is pray for these "artists" who believe that they're really trying to promote the kingdom with the hatred they're spewin' forth... Pray for manCHILD as well - he's in the middle of it all... Paz.

When a "Christian" artist crosses the line and openly states something he doesn't know too much about -- wouldn't that in a sense be an act of heresy AND pretty low if he hasen't even tried to answer those questions himself before he comes out with a track like that? It also sounds like he has a big problem with surrendering when he says, "... Trusting in a man for redemption" -- Really, Christ was a man as well and before He left His followers He instituted the apostles to partake in that very sacrament of confession. Gosh -- even Homer Simpson could understand the reason behind confession ...

I talked to father this morning at church and we are going to get the ball rolling once he is back from his 2 week vacation. Will surelly be a long 2 weeks but well worth the wait. Sean

But in actuality the whole song has one theme...that the Catholic Church is decieving its members with lies...and it teaches false things taking away from the message of Jesus. He has responded to my email again...hopefully after his next reply we can specifically discuss his beefs. Lets pray about this...the album doesnt drop till September...and the guy has a good heart...maybey I can convince him to not put the track on the album??? wishful thinking perhaps.
