Kaeldra Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Someone who I love very much has lost a lot of his friends in iraq...and he just found out another one just died Its his birthday, and he's upset but he wont ever discuss things like this for more than 1 minute. Please pray
corban711 Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 i will pray! ask Our Lady to comfort this persons heart with all the tenderness of Her Immaculate Heart. Beg Her to hold him close to her maternal heart and allow him to be consoled!
ofpheritup Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Sweetheart of course we will pray. May I suggest something. Since your friend is not ready to talk you may be wondering what else you can do to support him. HUG HIM. It is a simple wonderful way to let him know you care. I know "from whence I speak" (I know what I am talking about). During 1991 five of my family died and one friend and I was also divorced. There are no words. The greatest support I received was from my friends who knew nothing that they could say would help. So they hugged me. THE HUGS ARE WHAT HELPED ME THRU, UNTIL I WAS READY TO TALK. :hearts:
Noel's angel Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 unless he's one of those people (like me) that HATES people hugging them
Kaeldra Posted July 16, 2005 Author Posted July 16, 2005 I wish with all my heart that I could, but I can't he lives far away from me He knows that I want to, and he appreciates it....I just feel so bad cuz i'm not there to comfort him
Ora et Labora Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 Dont feel bad. Prayers are more than you can do for him since you live far apart. My friends parents got divorced and she dosnt like hugs either, but I was there for her by praying and just letting her know shes not alone. I will pray for him... Kristina
StColette Posted July 16, 2005 Posted July 16, 2005 prayers of course news like this concerning Iraq just hits home

But let's see if we can add a little OOMPH to our prayers. I am not saying that prayers aren't enough but we for the most part are "touchy feelie" people. God made us that way. Let's try to think of some ideas that she can support him long distance. My own suggestion would to be to send a stuffed animal. Come on guys they need us. Let me hear some suggestions. Y"all are so beautiful I know you can do it.
