Specter Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce not just any Nick Bunda, but THE Nick Bunda!! Check out his music here: MySpace or PureVolume If you like Mae, you'll love his stuff as well!
KnightoftheImmaculate1 Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 I wouldn't support that guy if I were you. Did you see his friends on myspace?? Especially the girl in the pornographic pose and clothing. And all the vile language in the blogs. Don't think so. Servvs
Specter Posted July 24, 2005 Author Posted July 24, 2005 Excuse me, Knight, but he's my friend, and he can't control the content of other people's pictures on his myspace account. Believe me, they don't represent his views. I should know, I know the guy personally. I don't want to go on a huge rant about this, but I certainly feel like it, as that felt like a personal attack on one of my friends. "I wouldn't support that guy" etc. Get your story straight first, please, with a little more research into how stuff like "myspace" works, because yeah, myspace does have some unfortunate side effects to how it works.
InCircles' brother Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 hey nich... i do some home recording stuff too... i really want to listen to your stuff but my computer at work wont let me go to myspace and i cant listen to the songs on purevolume... but ill find a way... peace out
KnightoftheImmaculate1 Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Can't you block users on Myspace? Don't you have to accept them for them to be on your friends list? I still disagree, friend or not. Friends lead you closer to Heaven not away or indifferently.
DemonSlayer Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 I think they're just fans, he probably doesn't even know them.
nickbunda Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 Dear Knight, I am Nick Bunda. I do see where you are coming from, but let me ask you this question. If Jesus had a MySpace and Mary Magdaline requested to be his friend, would he deny her and turn her away? I accept anyone who asks to be my friend. My music is uplifting and full of meaning, I can only hope that the girl in the "pornographic positions" will listen to it and gain something from it. And if my language offends you, I apologize. Cursing is one thing that I am working on. I hope you can understand it from my point of view. Bottom line, it's my music that should matter, not the people that added me or a few curse words that were typed up in a blog entry. I hope you'll re-consider, Nick Bunda
Specter Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Nick is in the studio working on more material
KnightoftheImmaculate1 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Bunda, You misunderstand the Scriptural passage you are referring to. When Mary Magdalegne came to Jesus He explicitly told her to stop what she was doing. So it doesn't mean that you should just except people "where there at" but rather help them to grow better. Pornography is pornography no matter what your intention for acceptance of it was. Just cause the founder of Hustler magazine wants to be my "friend" on Myspace does not mean that I should allow him to have porn as his picture. You are saying that Jesus would say that evil is okay, because I don't want to cause any controversy, etc. The curse words aren't as bad, but as a Catholic (I am assuming you are) you should try to do better. That language is not a sign of maturity or a good example. Servvs

I accept everyone. I don't know anyone on a personal level. If you are going to write me and my music off for something so petty, then that's fine. This message can go out to the CatholicSound people as well; who decided that my music wasn't 'catholic enough'.
ninjakyle Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 I will say, you guys can do what you want. I have a myspace account (although with its cool features, I find much cwap mixed in). It isn't fancy so I won't even reccomend you see it. And I don't promote people going to myspace because of all the cwap. see http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?showtopic=34466&hl=http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/index.php?showtopic=34466&hl= I, personally would kick people off my list if they are promoting pornography (because I don't want people visiting my site to be tempted to click on their picture). It isn't because I am not accepting of the person, but rather, I want to protect others. There is enough temptation to click on pornography. I don't want to have that temptation on anything with my name on it. my 2 cents

dUSt Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Nick, Would you consider your music to be "Catholic" music (I didn't see any indication that it was from those two sites)? If not, then why give the CatholicSound.com people a hard time, since that is the specific type of music they are promoting. That's like being offended if a classical opera station won't promote your music. If your music is not classical opera, then what do you expect?
ryanmeyersmusic Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 so that's why "Classic Opera Top 40" won't spin my disc...
inDEED Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 You definitely have my prayers, bro... Good luck & GODbless!!! inDEED CatholicSound.com
Fides_et_Ratio Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Ditto to what dUSt said above. Also, there was nothing on either site about being Catholic, so what's the big deal if catholicsound.com turned you down? Did you expect something else from a site promoting something so specific? If you want to promote the Catholic faith with your music... awesome! But you've gotta say something about it so people at least know you're Catholic.
