I remember when Steve left. My oldest was about 5. We had kinda given up Blues Clues, but returned to it to watch the "going away" episode. We all watched it. My daughter cried and cried... Steve was going off to college. He had on his back pack and baseball cap and he get on the bus and off he goes... My husband whispered to me, "He's going to get his butt kicked at college."

My daughter wrote a letter to Steve and of course, I kept it. We haven't opened it yet, though. I remember one of the things she asked Steve was if he was going to come back during Spring Break...

Aaaw.

He went off to "be a rock star" apparently. Hehe. His music, as much as I hate to admit it, isn't that bad. He looks really odd now, though. Has this funny little mohawk thing. I like him, anyway, he was great. I watched Blue's Clues with Amanda until about fifth grade, haha.

Uh, no. Steve Burns wanted to do other stuff before he got typecast. When he went for his audition for "Steve" he had really long hair... He thought the WHOLE show was animated. So, when he got the job, he had to get a neat haircut. He just wanted to go do other stuff before he became the new Mr. Rogers.

Nope. In fact right now he's putting out a rock album or some such thing... I saw it on tv.... in fact, I think someone posted pictures of him from it awhile back (or had it as their avatar... somethin' like that) and made everyone guess who it was. As far as I know the guy isn't gay, but even if he were that wasn't the reason he left the show. (he left, they didn't get rid of him)

Way better. And Joe's shirts change, he doesn't have the standard Steve did. PLUS, Steve sang the songs way better IMHO.

My mom actually said she likes Joe better once, she said something about him being younger seeming more appropriate, something about Steve kind of creeped her out I guess. lol
