It's the diocese website. If you look at any of the other parishes, none of them offer daily mass, either. I say call the church and find out for yourself...

All the other churches I've looked at have daily masses. Maybe they just forgot a word or two (like "daily masses") in the schedule. I hope!

I'd call, but I'm out of town. When I get back in the area code we'll find out. :)

Uhh...skip that parish. Go to the Cathedral it looks awesome and they have seem to have Sacred music with an amazing organ. You can correct me if i'm wrong. that's just the impression that I got from the pictures.

Just to add in case someone might be thinking this is a modern thing, one of the "fruits" of post Vat II.

Canon 805 of the Pio-Benedictine Code, the one enforce before 1983 said that it was a grave obligation for every priest to say Mass several times a year. In a commentary the following was noted:" a priest must therefore celebrate Mass at least 3 or 4 times each year in such a manner that there not be too great an intermission (half a year) between Masses. A priest who says Mass more rarely can also sin gravely by scandal or spiritual sloth."

The canon also said that Bishops and religious superiors should see to it that their priests say Mass at least on Sundays and Holy Days.
oh you should really call the parish then cuz those diocese schedules are shady :P:  seriously, speaking as someone who works for the Church, they are really bad about updating websites for things like that! lol

Ok, this just in from the Parish's Director of Religious Education
yes there is daily Mass.  6:30 am (begins with Communion service) and then 8:00am Mass.
Just goes to prove that you can't trust diocesan web sites!

edit to add that there are 2 perpetual adoration chapels that are about 15 mins of anywhere in Peoria, and other churches have adoration on a regular basis....

Thanks! Good to know.

I am looking for houses around one of the two adoration chapels. :) (Though, there's still this small detail of how to pay for one....)
