White Knight Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 I am it looks interesting, and one of the few movies out this year that are worth seeing, unfortunately Ive only seen two good films this year. the rest were medium ranged films. or really bad films. SO far Revenge of the Sith and Batman Begins takes this year so far. But I have hopes for Stealth that it will be good, and have a decent to awsome storyline.
inDEED Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 I gotta look this one up...I have NO idea what it's about...
Paladin D Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 It's a cross between Terminator and Top Gun. http://www.apple.com/trailers/ It's under Sony Pictures.
FilmGuy127 Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Yeah, this looks like the most worthless movie of the year to me... the concept is kinda cool... a superweapon of the future becomes selfaware and starts running amuck and the humans must prove that an ai cant ever really compete with a machine... a cool idea, except that i dont know but this just seems to be one of those ideas that seems so played out and cliche that i cant see how this will be a good movie.... it just seems like a really painfully average film, with only average sfx... nothing i have seen of this movie makes me even at all curious. If you are looking for some good films out right now let me suggest 2. 1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- This film was so much fun to watch i want to see it again. Strangely its not as weird as the first one, has much better songs and performaces, a great story, a wonderful ending( unlike the first one), a brilliant cast of both adults and children. Its just a well rounded fun movie that makes a nice social commentary along the way. I suggest it to everyone. 2. THe island- though not quite as good as #1 its a fun sci fi movie about clones. with two good leads and some really great action sequences this movie will easily fullfill that action scifi yearning that makes you want to even consider seeing stealth. check it out if you already saw charlie and need more.

I respectfully have to disagree with you. I canno't stand Johnny Depp's character in CITCF "Charlie In The Chocolate Factory." To Me, I'm not a big fan of this series. The Island, looks better than Charle IMHO. thats just me though, even though I'm not interested in seeing ethier one of them.
White Knight Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 Did anyone see it? I heard it didn't do that well at the box office. came in like 4th place or something barely making over 10 million on its opening weekend. what a shame.
sarcasmguy126 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 no way! it's supposed to be stupid with a stupid plot Roger Ebert himself dissed it. that's plenty of reasons
Christie_M Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 the movie was good!!! I thought it would be like iRobot but no, suprize ending!!! I've said too much!!
sarcasmguy126 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 really? its supposed to be stupid, horrible, dumb... are there any more adjectives i can use?
Christie_M Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 no. It was good! even my Mom said so! and she didn't want to see it for the same reason!! just give it a try!!
justin165243 Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 i have read so many reviews on this movie and they say it smells of elderberries and is a terrible movie and a bad plot
Ave Maria Totus Tuus Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 I saw STEALTH last night! I was not bad! The ending is pretty cool. One thing that angered me was that the female pilot's uniforms were definitely much more revealing then anything the Navy would EVER make "military issue." I went in thinking there was going to be more of a love story then there was, either way, it would still have been good. It's got some cool effects, and I enjoyed it overall. ~Mallory
point5 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 looks very cheezy...note to self avoid movies with Jessica Beil

White Knight Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Ive heard the dialogue in this film is cheesy what did you think of it Ave Maria Totus Tuus?
Ave Maria Totus Tuus Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 It's definitely the dialogue that is cheezy, especially with the "love tension" between Jessica Beil and her male counterpart (I didn't even note his name) but overall that is really what is cheezy, their relationship. Each of the characters plays their typical stereotype based on their race/gender. Jessica Beil, while yes, plays a fighter pilot, still traipses around in non military issue uniforms (too tight or too revealing) and kinda shows that typical "yeah, im a tough girl" in all of her dialogue, it gets kinda old. Josh Lucas, who plays Lt. Gannon, the leader, is the typical macho fighter pilot, who comes across as the "i am all-knowing" type, yet also shows the traditional chivalrous side at the end. Jamie Foxx, the third pilot, plays the typical "player" in the movie with his treatment of women he meets, etc. Sam Shepard plays the squadron leader, who is the typical "death before dishonor, willing to take risks" military commander. The theme of all this is that most of the characters are "typical." We've seen them in movies before. To me, that makes it cheezy. It's like, couldn't they think of anything else?!? I liked the movie though, the story was interesting to me, and there were even a lot of moral issues brought up.
lifeteenchick527 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 i saw it!!! i thought it was really really good : much better than iwould have expected... me and my friend were like wat the heck... and we were like dude we r buyinthis when it comes out : go see it : GodBless LTC
sarcasmguy126 Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 NO! i've heard/read horrible reviews on this movie... "boycott" is spelled with S-T-E-A-L-T-H
