about five years ago I had the most vivid dream I've ever had. I still remember every detail... it's the wierdest thing. Especially because I never remember dreams. seriously, I couldn't tell you one dream I've had in the past couple of nights, but there's one dream that's always haunted me in a vivid memory. I can still see it plain as day.

it's kind of freaky...

There's this amazing girl in it. I can picture every detail about her. Now, for those of you who really know me (no need to speak in details) five years ago, a dream like this FIVE YEARS AGO is even more pecuilar.

anyway, I thought I'd throw that out there... is it common to remember a dream so long after you've had it in such vivid detail?

as of late, it's been drivin me nuts because I keep thinking about it. And I haven't thought of it in like two years, I had kind of forgotten about it. But there they are, these memories of something that never happened, seeming more real than my actual memories...

That's not too unusual. I remember dreams I had years ago. Isn't it weird how we remember some dreams and forget others?

I remember many dreams from my childhood. Particularly one in which I was captured by space aliens and they were going to take me back to their planet. I begged them to please let me go and they decided to drop me off-- but we landed in China. (Hey, at least it's EARTH!!) So, then I had to make my way back home.

I also remember being chased by the KGB all over Russia.

I used to have very weird dreams as a kid...

No amazing people though. ;)

I still remember the dream where bigfoot grabbed my daycare teacher and dragged her into the underbrush. I had that dream a few times. Spider-Man came in and dove into the bushes and fought Bigfoot, but I never saw what happened. usually I woke up.
I usually remember my really horrible dreams.

yea its wierd how vivid dreams are every night, and how in the morning after getting up they are gone. I'm pretty sure everyone has several dreams every night. I remember some dreams from several years ago as well.

I only remember dreams when I am half asleep in the mornings... my most recent one was when a George Harrison song was on the radio, and the dream was very Harrison-esqe... in fact it was more like a music video for that song going through my head... and the song was "Here Comes the Sun" it was pretty hippie like though...

I always have dreams where I am falling, and right when I'm supposed to hit the ground, I wake up.

Those dreams are the worst!!!!

The only dreams I remember for long periods of time are the ones where someone that has died is in them (like my grandpa). There is one though, that I remembered, just because I found my reaction interesting. We watched The Patriot in U.S. History, and I started dreaming that I was a Revolutionary War soldier. And as I was dreaming that I was being shot at, I started praying the Hail Mary. I just kept praying until I woke up...and when I woke up I found it really cool that my automatic reaction to intense fear is prayer.

That's really cool.

I dreamed the future circumstances of my mom's death to the exact detail when I was about 14 -- this was 12 years before she died.

I kept having recurring dreams that I was in London... and now I'm moving there next month. :) And I don't know if I have an overactive imagination but many years ago the Virgin Mary visited me in a dream. Out of her hands came this shining, shocking light of pure peace and goodness, so intense it woke me up. I never forgot it, so who knows....

You can do art inspired by your dreams. Those can be pretty interesting.

I had a wierd dream last week. I was at church with my fiancee and our current pastor told us that he was leaving and was leaving another priest in charge. It turned out this other priest happened to be a woman. I guess I was the only one who saw something wrong with this and was voicing my concern to everyone else at the church and they were looking at me like there's nothing wrong with female priests and they've always been around. I finally stormed out of the church and that was the end of the dream.
