Jaime Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 We're taking a cruise for seven days in Alaska. Anyone been? Any suggestions on what to do? I would love anyone with some personal knowledge to suggest what is good and what isn't. We're looking at stops in Anchorage, Copper Kenai and Denali? Suggestions kids?
homeschoolmom Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 We are??? I had no idea... My in-laws went to Alaska... They ate a lot. Other than that, I have no idea what they did...

Carrie Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 The only practical advice I can offer is don't hit an iceberg.

Jaime Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 I'm so glad there are people at PM who can answer the critical cruise/lettuce questions!!
Jaime Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 Maybe I should bring you along in case I run into an Endive debacle
Carrie Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 That would be most prudent of you! I'm not terribly expensive...I don't eat much. When do we leave?
Jaime Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 you won't be able to wear socks with flip flops on the cruise. Will that be a problem? I know you like that
Carrie Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 *flustered* Well...well...uh...I don't think I can make it then...darn! (some of us have hairy toes to hide!)

kateri05 Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 not to interrupt the funny train, but in response to your original question: i've only heard really positive things about the Alaska cruise (its fun, its beuatiful, its different, its awesome, etcetc) so my only advice would be bring earmuffs and gloves /hijack of hijack. continue funny train

HomeTeamFamily Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 what about that one port......oh shoot whats the name......o yea its called the CARIBBEAN!!!! go somewhere warm yo
Theoketos Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Last time I went on a Cruise, at every stop I made sure to visit all the Catholic Churches I could when ever we landed. It teaches you much about the History of the Catholic Church in America. And it makes your trip into a pilgrimage. Plus, they are anything but tourist traps. And on most cruises they have a Catholic Chapel. So you should try and make all of those activities...i.e. Mass Rosary ect. And if it is a disney Cruise, like mine was, they will try to smell of elderberries God out of you, but I do not think that you have to worry about that.
